I am currently staying at JH on a 9 day vacation with my family 2 teenagers and a 3 year old included.. so far we have not encountered any major situations that would deter a future stay besides the abandoned buildings next door. Though the hotel is located next to these dilapidated properties that is not your view and only poses a concern when entering and exiting the room. The beds r not the most comfortable but my family and I got good rest so I can't complain. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessities to prepare meals and the two part bathroom is great when more than one person is doing a morning routine. At first the shower pressure was a concern but soon realized it was a matter of adjusting the nozzles. I haven't seen any bugs or rodents and can honestly say the friendly and helpful staff make this stay worthwhile. This hotel is by no means 5 star but it is a cozy pleasant stay for the price. Oh yeah....... the only thing sketchy about this area is the two abandoned buildings other than that the hotel is a nice area close to stores restaurants entertainment and right on the beach. I would definately return.
