The first night we had a room with a king bed. That room was very small and not the cleanest. We were upgraded to an efficency with 2 quuen beds and it was MUCH better. The room was spaciious, modern.clean, and had a great view of the ocean. 0verall service was excellent, and the resort is in a very convenient location. The free waterpark and mini golf are a good incentive if you have kids and we got lots of discounts on local restaurants because we stayed at an Oceana resort!

We just returned from a 16 stay at the Patricia Grand. This was our 10th year staying here when we come to MB for the World Am Golf Tournament. The hotel is in a great central location, offers great value for their rooms, and the staff are always very helpful and pleasant. They always accommodate us with the type of room we request and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. We will definitely come back to the Patricia Grand next year and recommend it to everyone with or without small children and to famlies. Thanks again for a great stay!!

My experience their was terrible, my daughter booked this room along with my husband as a suprize for my birthday. Room was nasty and moldy,rug soaking wet with spots everywhere on it. Bed hard,sheets felt used already,balcony had cigarette burns all over the walls,coffee pot didn't work,glass door on closet broken. I was so disappointed with this hotel. Staff not even interested in your comfort as a customer, when i gave my complaints they made stupid excuses for them. The big tall blonde front desk clerk told me the rug was wet bc it is a beach........u never heard of a wetvac. U not the only hotel by the beach and I know they don't let their carpet stay wet and dirty, our carpet in our room was soaked. The lobby looked nasty, the clerks looked nasty, no smile or good customer service at all. Wouldn't recommend to worst enemy!

Room Tip: don't have any tips except stay away from this place

Very enjoyable stay. This was my first time to Myrtle Beach and we had 19th floor suite room, oceanfront and this gorgeous view was visible and the sound of ocean could be heard from both the living room and the bedroom. The sound of the waves lulled me to sleep each night- important for those trying to de-stress!! (i.e. They put this same sound on anti-stress audiotapes.) The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel had a lazy river, great pools and beautiful beaches. Was located near many activities.

Room Tip: PIck the top floor for panoramic view of ocean!

Every employee was outstanding and helpful. The rooms were great.The location was convenient
to very good restaurants, shows and shopping centers. The beach was beautiful. The pool area
was clean, and beautiful maintained. The number of pools available ensured that the pools were
not overcrowded.

Room Tip: Ask for large oceanfront room.

We have visited Myrtle Beach every year for the past five years, this was our first stay at the Patricia Grand. The location is not too far from Broadway at the Beach and the ferris wheel on the beach, about 1.4 miles each, and close to many area restruants. The in house restruant has some strange hours and the one time we ate there it was expencive for the types of food ordered. The staff were friendly and accomadating, however the room furnishings were on the used to abused side although everything was functional and comfortable. Great pool side tiki bar, three hot tubs, and great views from balcony. Good place if you don't pay more than $150 a night.

Room Tip: Beach side views are all obscured by the building design, don't expect a straight on view of the...

Don't bother wasting your time. I can go on forever about how horrible my stay was here- and not just one issue reoccurring- many issues across the board that are easily preventable.

First got there shower had visible hair and dirt called to have them clean it and it STILL was crusted with the remains of the guest before me after- I had to clean it myself. Maid service everyday if they remembered and never around the same time, also never consistent- one day just the bed was made the next the whole room cleaned- very inconsistent.

Restaurant only open for dinner on Friday and Sat.. Oh! And for lunch.. by the pool.. which really means picking up a phone from the wall outside and telling them what you want from the FIVE options- that's right- JUST FIVE OPTIONS! AND they were basically all the same thing- hunk of meat on a bun. No salad, no wrap, nothing more then meat grease and fries. Breakfast buffet "when available" aka when they had enough staff to collect enough fake scrambled eggs to fill a platter. You cant charge anything to your room other then your nasty lunch from the pool- cant charge the "Starbucks" which is really just the best cleaning lady that day mixing some ice and coffee flavors.. you cant charge to your room at the pool bar.. pointless.

And the elevators- what a death trap! Constantly getting stuck while the public notice said they haven't been serviced since 2/2013, some even since 2012! How is this place still running! Cherry on top is you get to hear all the matrons and housemen yelling to/at each other outside all of the guest rooms as you wait for the elevator to take 15 minutes to get to your floor. Plus bottom floor of my designated elevators had the pool a few feet away- elevator was always slippery and had standing puddles of water inside and all around the waiting area for them. Seriously? You cant find a mop?

The parking garage was crawling with roaches bigger than your nasty meat sandwich from lunch and of course tons of urine.

TV sucks WIFI sucks HBO sucks no movie options- there isn't even an alarm clock in the room! Shades didn't shade a thing, and our room had a whole kitchen- with no table to eat on! All of the doors were broken- literally- closet door wouldn't slide, balcony door was like fighting the jaws of life to get a breath of fresh air (because standing on the mold infested carpets on the balcony was defiantly not a option for me)- the bathroom door had 3 different visible layers of paint and looked like someone was gnawing on the bottom of it- probably because there restaurant is disgusting! I can go on and on... I work in the hospitality industry and don't understand how they're still running..

We apologize that you were not satisfied with the cleanliness of your unit. Please know that this has been addressed.

The restaurant is indeed open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. For lunch, while there are five menu items, these change daily in order to provide a variety of options. You can also charge to you room from the restaurant and the coffee bar.

Please know that the elevators are inspected on a regular basis and are always kept current. The parking garage area is treated for insects monthly.

We have had some issues with our WiFi recently, and these issues are being addressed by the appropriate staff.
