Great place for traveling with pets. Stayed 3 nights in an oceanfront room. Stay on a lower floor unless you want to enjoy long elevator rides. Starbucks in the lobby or a store just one block up. Clean rooms with nice beds along with a stocked kitchen if you select to have one with a kitchen.

We stayed here for a few nights for our first visit to Myrtle Beach. It was not bad, but nothing to rave about. The room was fine although the sea view was very awkward and much too close to the balcony next to us. The room showed many signs of wear and the towels and bedding etc. were worn. The beach access was good, and the staff was friendly. W did not eat at the hotel, but the drinks at the pool bar were watery. All in all just OK. We are going back to Myrtle Beach this Summer, but will try somewhere else.

Our room nicely appointed with a nice balcony; with a perfect ocean view. We have stayed here many times and have seen MANY upgrades and improvements over the years. This stay the Kitchenette and Bathroom could have been cleaner for my taste. However not anything that I couldn't clean up a little bit on so I did. The front desk employees and ALL employees had excellent customer service skills. They were ready for all questions and had actual answers and followed through with help. We asked for a couple of packets of coffee and some fresh towels and they were immediately brought to us. The "Tikki Bar" outside by the pool was perfect. The beach access was easy and being able to rent chairs and umbrella from Life Guard was really nice! Worth the price! The breakfast buffet had MANY choices and was tasty! The only REAL problem was the air conditioner window unit. It never really did cool down the room. We kept the door closed. It would run a while stop and then come back on. I have read the other reviews on here and some of them sound like some people had just an awful stay. I suppose we were very lucky because we had a nice stay. The third night we did get up very early and left at about 4:30 am as we couldn't get any rest in the room due to the A/C. Also the bathroom sink wouldn't properly drain. I reported both those issues at the front desk so that the next people to stay there hopefully wouldn't have the same trouble. I COULD have reported it sooner but my mind was on getting out to the beach. We don't sight see or do attractions there. I come there for the OCEAN which is amazing enough and entertaining enough for me! Will return here the next time we go to Myrtle Beach...although I did somehow catch some sort of respiratory problem while there. My husband isn't sick with it at all though so we can't say that it is due to anything at The Patricia Grand. OH one more thing...the gift/supplies shop is very nice and the owner is very nice lady!

Phone did not work in room and shelf handle on inside fridge door came off which caused my bottles to fall and break so started bad. They responded quickly and fixed everything. Pleasantly surprised how pleasant the staff was. Always smiling eager to please. Would definitely stay there again.

My and my girlfriend went and stayed here over the weekend of June 27-June 30. It was wonderful!! Check in was seemless and they were very helpful. The room (1222 oceanfront king efficiency ) was the perfect size for us two, there was a huge closet for our luggage and clothes. The bed was comfortable and clean. The entire room was clean, even behind the bed. The kitchen was a decent size, the fridge, stove and microwave all worked to perfection.

The tv was an upgraded flat screen and the channel choices were good, and included HBO, ESPN, the History Channel, and all of the major networks among others. The wifi was useable, not super fast but more than capable of using to plan the next day's activities.

The only thing that could be an issue was the fact that the bathroom was on the small side, but the water pressure was good and the bathroom was well appointed. The view was great, albeit partially blocked and the balcony had plenty of room.

The grounds were well kept, there was always a security guard on site so you feel safe.

The poolside bar made good drink that were priced well.

The parking garage will be hard to navigate if you are driving a full sized vehicle without a good turning radius but they do have a small lot for large vehicles behind the garage. I drive a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer and had no problems with the garage.

I can't say enough about how nice and well run the place is, pets and noise were not an issue (even though we were right outside the elevators), housekeeping was friendly, and one day a set of elevators were out if order and they had them fixed within an hour.

The pools, lobby and all public areas were always clean and presentable.

I will absolutely be returning to Myrtle Beach and staying here.

The room was absolutely disgusting. Once we finally were able to actually get an elevator to our room, we walked in and noticed a foul smell (mixture of mold, mildew and filth.) I have been coming to Myrtle Beach for years and decided to go to this location to get away from craziness of the boardwalk side. Big mistake! Where to start... The kitchen was obviously never cleaned, the fridge was gross even the handle had black grime all over it. There was ice in the freezer mixed with yellowish frozen liquid. The florescent light had only one bulb in it and you had to tap it to go on even though the fixture was coming out of the ceiling. The oven cook tops were broken and unusable, the cups were dirty, the carpet was ripped in multiple spots and obviously hadn't been cleaned in years due to the smell, the couch had rips and holes and was so bad we put a sheet on it to sit and when we did sit the springs popped, the matching chair had nothing but stains all over it and we didn't even dare to touch it, every corner of the room had filth and god knows what. There was mold next to the fire sprinklers, urine all over the bathroom seat, cigarette burns on the vanity and deck furniture(I thought this was a non smoking hotel?) My friend cut herself on a piece of metal that was hanging from the bed frame (bed frames only cost $50 to replace) The first night we were in bed and started to smell something weird, we moved to the Murphy bed to find that behind the Murphy bed was some more filth. We felt trapped. The next day we investigated what the smell in the bedroom was and it was 2 very large urine or vomit stains on the bed liner. There were no towels at the pool the second day we were there, The first day that we got there we were informed that check in wasn't until 4 which was fine but when we asked where to put our bags while we wait for check in they wouldn't hold our bags for us and that we had to look after them ourselves, so we sat at the pool with all of our luggage. The only thing that was good was the breakfast buffet in which the cook and wait staff were great. Having Starbucks in the lobby was a plus but she was so overwhelmed, I felt bad for her so I tipped her 5$ she was so thankful and said it would help her with gas money. The pool bar should be cash only considering the credit machine took 10 minutes to process. The bar tender stated that all the drink menus were wrong, she said most of the liquor advertised, you didn't even have in stock. We asked to change rooms and they told us that the hotel was full. We asked for extra pillows blankets and a wine opener multiple times (when we could actually get someone to answer the phone) they kept saying they forgot and were understaffed.
If we were staying more than just 3 nights we would have demanded a refund and went somewhere else but had such limited time to enjoy the area. We feel very tricked due to the pictures of the rooms online compared to the one star roach motel that we got. We spoke to other guests and most said there room was what they saw online with the exception of a few that were also mad. DO NOT book this hotel online. You will not receive the rooms that are advertised, you will receive the one like we had. Take a look at the pictures I uploaded...gross. I emailed the hotel and still have not gotten a response. Room 1402 needs to be demolished!!
