“Great for kids”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

My 2 year old had a blast. The fire truck simulator, slide, and all of the fire trucks kept him excited as could be. For $6 it was quite a deal. Hopefully we'll come back in a few years so he can slide down the fire pols, he's a little too young for that.

“A must do for young kids. ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2014 via mobile

This is a very affordable place for children to play and learn about fire safety. I enjoyed looking at the old fire trucks and the kids (ages 4, 6, and 12) loved everything about the place. They got to climb up a ladder, go down a pole, ride in a firefighter simulator, and make their own badges. We spent two hours here and time flew. Awesome! Will do again when we come back.

“Affordable diversion near airport”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014 via mobile

We had time to kill before boarding our flight at the charleston airport, and we ran into this by accident. We decided to take our three-year old who had been sitting in the car for two hours. What a great decision, as it was only $6 for adults and free for kids under 12.

The old, restored fire engines were great to look at for adults, and the interactive exhibits were great for kids.

For the price and attraction, it was much better than killing time at the nearby outlets, and our son especially loved the free fire helmet at the end!

“Impressive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

I was impressed by the quality of this museum. It is well worth the $6 admission! There are several meticulously restored fire trucks spanning decades. There is a very professionally done video that plays in a small theater. The video is aimed at children; however it was interesting. The theater screen rotates to show different sets. There is a big slide and fire pole in the middle of the museum. There are many interesting artifacts to view and a firetruck ride simulator. There is also a machine where you can create a custom fire badge/sticker with your name on it. Everything was super clean and well done. I think it would be best experienced with young children; however, my wife and I enjoyed it!

This was such a nice surprise to find at the corner area of our hotel. We have a few fireman in our family and the museum is a MUST SEE!
