“Tired Hotel”

This is a hotel that if they would keep up appearances it would be fine.
The initial visit to the halls was that they everything needed cleaned or renovated. The doors were splotchy with mismatched painted or peeling paint I don't now which. The halls gave me the heeby geebies to begin with. The room was clean, but an old TV and they had tried to retrofit the sink area and left 2 open areas where you could see all the plumbing. The sleep number bed had one remote with no instructions they had been worn off, so I slept in the other bed. The clock didn't work and it was loud to outside and other room noises.
I travel a lot and the first appearances make or break the feel of the whole stay.

We stayed at Radisson a few weeks ago, the night before our cruise, and it was a great stay. The Front Desk was helpful with where to go for dinner in Charleston and how to get to my cruise the next day. I slept very well on the sleep number bed and the breakfast was pretty great. The staff was so helpful and made it really less stressful with getting to our cruise.

My family and I stood at the hotel and enjoyed every minute of our trip. We received a friendly welcome at check-in. Any time we came across a hotel employee they always greeted us, which was a pleasant surprise.
We had no issues with our room. I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family.

It's the service of ALL staff that I commend at this hotel. the hotel itself is certainly not the greatest, but it's at the airport and most people stay here for that convenience. From the bartender, Michael, to the front desk staff and shuttle guy Robert(?), the staff at this hotel make it a worthy contender. The printer was having issues when i tried to print my boarding pass so the front desk reprinted it for me. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk called to make sure everything was suitable. Later I realized HBO was not working so that should be looked into or take it off the tv guide listing. My coffee pot was chipped and within minutes of calling the front desk a pot of coffee was brought to my room. I then asked for half and half (I know, pushing it) and yet the gentleman returned within minutes with plenty to start my day caffeinated and happy. The shuttle service to the airport by Robert (?) was personable and engaging.

At first I was scared from the shady character walking outside and the shabby look of the hotel. Definitely not worth the price, but I guess Charleston hotels are as expensive as NYC ones. The service was good, the room clean, the AC blasting. The hotel looks old, the bathroom is very patched up and small, but everything worked. Not worth the price but is OK to get a good rest if you're not too picky. We couldn't hear the airplanes - big plus.

They could've provided a thin blanket instead of the duvet...

We had recurring toilet noise problems that the hotel couldn't
fix, that kept us up all 4 nights--multiple complaints, multiple times the
hotel sent someone up but never fixed. We gave up complaining, problem
still there when we departed. Hotel never offered to change our room,
provide any gift or other compensation, and NEVER followed up to find
out if issue resolved.
Since Radisson has a room guarantee, we asked the hotel for 1 free
night's lodging--which the front desk person said she'd refer to the
manager (never heard back), then on checkout the front desk said they'd
take care of getting the refund handled through Expedia booking (never
happened--and it's been over 6 weeks).
Also, hotel is nowhere near any attractions in Charleston.

Allow this was not as I've remember the radisson quality of yesteryear it wasn't as horrible as I'd imagined it would be.. my fiancee and I needed a room and they were the only option.. and we were both satisfied.. the tvs are extremely old however..
