We were supposed to stay there for the Labor Day weekend. Room that we got was on the second floor - BEWARE hallway smells like an ASHTRAY, as well as the ROOM itself. Even if you book "non-smoking" room, most likely you still will be enjoying the SMOKE sneaking from the corridor.
We have a newborn baby, so it was unacceptable for us to stay and than another biggest disappointment happened - Priceline that we booked the hotel threw refused to refund the money. They argument was - you've got type of the room that you requested. I was trying to explain that if room called to be "non-smoking" customer shouldn't be able to smell tobacco in any whatsoever way! Nobody wants to listen and understand.
We ended up booking another hotel and leaving this one within an hour after arrival.
Preparing paperwork now for the court, since Priceline refused to provide refund.
Was using them for couple of years, but from now on will not give them business anymore. It's better to give it to somebody who cares about customers.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I was surprised by your comments as these comments are not common among our guests. I am sorry that you experienced smoking issues in your room, we will certainly take extra measures in the future to remedy the problem.

The manager assisted us when we could not find the Comfort Inn we had booked. It was late and we had been riding forever and stopped to ask directions, Onstar could not find that address either. She called the other hotel and told her our problem. They were good enough to chane the reservation with out a problem.
We always stay at Comfort Inns and n ow we won't even consider anything else.

Room Tip: We like top floor

Laura was inconsiderate and out of line in her handling of our reservations. They will put charges on your card that you didn't authorize and if you voice a concern they will bad mouth the operating co. Choice hotels and tell you to contact corporate if your not happy! Poor service = poor time on vacation.

Room Tip: They all smell like smoke so good luck!

First, Thank you for your feedback. You and a few others had the same remarks about our employee. Without your review and input we would not be able to correct the situation. You will be happy to know since you stayed here last we have fixed our problem. Please give us another chance when you are in the area.

Had booked a king room online but when we opened the door we were hit by cigarette smoke it was unbearable. My daughter would not sleep there so needless to say we exchanged rooms. No problem there except no more king rooms available. So we switched to a 2 queen room. Room was clean but maintenance needs to address the gross lampshades and holy curtains. One other issue is the mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker combo with only 2 outlets you have to unplug something to use the other. Room had decent wifi (constant login process for my2 nights) and a clock radio. I was awake as soon as anyone in the hall was because the doors have gaps and walls are thin. However, the rest of my family slept well. Beds were comfy and we enjoyed the breakfast which consisted of eggs (powdered), sausage links (delicious), cinnamon or regular waffles using a waffle iron (2 of the irons are desperately needed to help lower wait times), apple and orange juice, apples &/bananas, white or wheat toast, English muffins, Danish, pecan rolls, mini muffins (blueberry, lemon poppyseed and apple cinnamon), yogurt, hard boiled eggs, coffee, butter, margarine and jelly. The lady who runs the breakfast area was always present and helpful I do hope management can provide her a second waffle iron they did have 2 toasters to help with wait times. The pool is small but since the weather was yucky there wasn't a crowd we generally were alone there. Restaurants are within walking distance (Outback and K & W Cafeteria are next door). Beach is a short car drive away. Front desk is attentive and friendly.

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend July 2013, my family and I had a great time, we checked in later than expected but Ms.Claire at the front desk was a great help, we were tired from the drive so it was great to know that are room was still available. Breakfast the next morning was great, different items to choose from and the person helping was talkative and energetic that was a good feeling considering we came for the beach and it was storming outside. Housekeeping was wonderful as well, Ms. Charlene who was not assigned to our room was helpful with anything that we asked for, she was also a joy to talk to and let us know what other attractions were in the area. The room was very clean and there were plenty of towels. I noticed a small note in the bathroom it basically said if you take our towels or blankets you will be charged, However if you choose to purchase these items you can and it listed the prices. I would visit again.
