I loved this place! Me and my boyfriend stayed in the one bedroom condo in the jasmine tower on the 12th floor. Awesome view! Unfortunately all 1 bedrooms are close to elevator. Wasn't really a problem for us because we get up early in the morning. But could be an issue for people that sleep in because it can be loud when people are standing there and talking. The only real issue we experienced was people reserving chairs with towels at the pool area. I actually got in an augment with someone one day. Live music everyday by swim up bar. Played a lot of country (love country) some of the dance along songs(Cuban suffle ect.) and rock. The ocean water was so warm! Like bath water! Also down the beach to the right is an inlet? Or some river thing? That water comes in with tide and when water goes back out it's very shallow and you can have a lot of fun. We found crabs and a flounder. Watched people fish (caught a foot long shark). That was one of my favorite parts of this location. We ate at 21 main the first night. It was very good. Had the shuttle take us and was a piece of cake. I thought we weren't going to have room service(it's written on the paper they give you) and also the woman at front desk told us there is no room service unless you call for towels or to get trash. So we were under the impression that no one was coming in the room and we left money and other things out not knowing. Everyday a maid came and changed out towels and got our trash, which is awesome and nothing was stolen. The only other issue was check out. I was told how to and just assumed you go to where you checked in, well we left at 5am and it was closed. Called north beach and finally got a man on the phone and he said to just leave stuff on the kitchen counter but we had all ready left. He was very nice and said it was fine that he would make a note in the computer. So anyways!!! LOVED it! Broadway on the beach is only a 20 min ride away- went there a lot! Also murrells inlet is 40min and that place is beautiful! Ate at wicked tuna where the show "party down south" was filmed. Awesome food! Hope you guys enjoy it as much as us!

Returned 1 year later. Last year I had issues with check in procedure. Also last year the unit had carpeting throughout that looked warn out. This year we upgraded to a 3 bedroom 3 bath oceanfront unit. It had tile throughout and was immaculately clean. By arriving on a Friday instead of a Saturday check in was much quicker and our unit was ready on time. Also the activities were even better this year on Wednesday night there was a luau that included a fire show and dancers we enjoyed watching it from our balcony and the kids loved it. Kids activities included a shark talk with the Ripleys aquarium staff and a magician this past week. I highly doubt you can find a nicer beach resort/pool complex in all the Carolinas.

My top tips are...
1) Arrive on Friday or Sunday to lessen traffic, ease check in and probably save money. (They sometimes offer specials for non Sat arrivals in early season)
2) Book early. They offered up to 50% off on cyber Monday.
3) Bring a small cooler and canned beer. Glass and coolers are not allowed on the pool deck. Be discreet and nobody asks questions. 64 oz bubba keg works nicely.

My complaints
1) $8 mixed drinks, $11 frozen drinks at the pool bar. Seriously NBP. No surprise business is beyond slow for the bartenders.
2) I have never seen a comment on TripAdvisor from NBP management.
3) That's all I got. This place rocks. We will be back.

North Beach Plantation is the best place I have ever stayed at Myrtle beach. The rooms are great and the pools are fantastic. We love being able to order lunch at the Seaside cafe. The Hamburgers are great. this is my 5th year to come and it is better than ever. I would definetly come back.

Room Tip: The views are great. I have stayed in the Jasmine and the Indigo and they are all great.

With this being #1 on trip advisor we had high hopes for a great vacation but were disappointed to say the least. Location was great and very close even walkable to many attractions and great restaurants. Pools and beach were great and fun especially for my 2 year old. No maid service but we were told that we would have daily t &t (trash and towel exchange) we had to call every night as this was never done in the am or even afternoon. Internet access was very poor and staff could not help us as they had no control over it. despite several attemts and calls to the internet provider we could not get it to work. Halfway through trip i went to check on my daughter sleeping in her pack and play to find a giant roach next to where she was sleeping. Manager on call was very nice and came to our room and tried to reassure us on cleanliness of hotel however we decided to leave and go home and she was nice enough not to charge us for remaining nights.

North Beach makes you feel special in every way. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Because you are on vacation in a very luxurious location the other guests are just as pleasant. Since I was unable to use the spa services i will definitely plan to return to take advantage of all of the other amenities.

Room Tip: I stayed in the tower on the 18th floor with an ocean view. My son so enjoyed this that he slept on...

This hotel is beautiful - very clean and well maintained! The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and accommodating. The only downside was the lighting in the bathroom - they could use a little more light - 2 small pocket lights above a double sink is really not enough to apply makeup or even shave! We also found that the workout room was inconvenient for those staying at the hotel - this facility is not in the hotel - rather it is near the check in area which is also not in the hotel - one would have to drive to get to it or plan on walking for 10 minutes.
Overall - this was a great trip - we were there for a wedding and couldn't have been more pleased with the hotel. We would definitely book this hotel again should we decide to visit MB in the future. Thanks!
