“Good for kids- fast service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014 via mobile

We sat outside and had a different experience than some of the other folks that have written. We went to dinner here with 3 kids and the service was fast and very good and attentive. Maybe it depends on the server you get but the margarita I had was awesome and we loved the tacos - very different. Great little kids menu too! All in all worth going back with the kids.

“Nice spot for lunch!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014 via mobile

When I visited on Memorial Day weekend, the food was great as well as the service-despite it being a packed house. The location is prime with a very inviting atmosphere. A good place to eat if you are already in the area, but I wouldn't drive out of my way to get there again from Charleston as the adjacent roads were very heavily trafficked and parking was scarce. Had to pay to park in a lot a few blocks down.

“Love this place”

We love to find unique places to eat while on vacation and this fit the bill. I had the Poor-Boy Shrimp BLT Taco and sweet potato fries. It was great!!! Fun atmosphere and great service.

“If you don't mind waiting 15 minutes for a drink on an empty restaurant then give it a try”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

we are local to the area and physically love to go into Taco mamacita after our morning dog walk on the beach. The porch is great and the food is usually good but today was our last trip to TacoMamacita. The restaurant was absolutely empty and our server gave our dog water after 10 minutes but didn't bother to ask us what we wanted. We had our 2 year old with us which didn't help the situation. At that point we were ready to go. What a dissapointment.

“In which I attempt to get over myself and go to a Non-Foodie Place - Part 1”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 July 2014 via mobile

We met two couples there. The first were lovely people who insisted on buying us hello shots. She works at Wild Dunes where we were staying, and was really interested in whether we were enjoying our stay (Not in a pushy way - in a "proud of her work" way). The second were lovely people who we chatted with on the patio over dinner.

The hostess was on the ball, and the waiter outside was a cool young guy who could give classes in how to make people feel welcome.

The food was appalling. Caritas tasted like nothing. Fish taco tasted like fishy pineapple.

The place was full of happy people, though, so what do I know? Perhaps they were just drinking.
