Stayed here to attend a 50th anniversary. Had our motorhome and since our dog is more than 30 pounds we could not bring her into the hotel. we were able to park the motorhome and leave our dog. Okay place but needs renovation. Did not eat breakfast because we joined family at the cracker barrel next store. their are a lot of restaurants in the area. Stall was nice. All other hotels in the area were much more expensive so since we were only staying one night it was okay.

We were late in booking a room on an unbelievably busy event weekend in Charleston -- 3 national, state, and local events were taking place and a friend of mine said, "You do realize what weekend you are going to Charleston, don't you" Well, I didn't. She said you better start looking for a place to stay (it was 2 weeks before the April weekend) and 'good luck'.

Although this economy hotel was the best that we could find an hour outside of Charleston, it was clean, friendly, comfortable beds, hot water, clean towels, quiet and well, what else do you need of about $80 bucks to sleep in Charleston when you're there to SEE and EXPERIENCE Charleston?

Plus, bonus, lots of eateries around it and it was minutes from Magnolia Plantation and Gardens!

Making reservations was easy, however the price to stay to rest your head for the night was excessive for $92. The non-smoking room had an odor. The bathroom was not very clean. It had hair in tub, by toilet and on folded towels, which turned me off completely.

Room Tip: Would not recommend this place to anyone. I would rather pay an extra 10-20 bucks for a more comfor...

We stopped the night here till we could find a camp ground in the area to my findings this motel was clean and friendly the rooms could use a little sprucing up but other than that it was a pleasant stay. We ended up staying 2 nights.

The staff was friendly and made check in and check out easy. The rooms are old, a little worn but were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic continental. Just off I-26 with plenty of restaurant's within walking distance. Truck parking, but short spots so you have to un-hook from trailer and park alongside. Will stay here again.

Have stayed at this Econo Lodge once before about 4 years ago. Condition of the rooms doesn't seem to have changed much, but considering the cost of the room per night, I couldn't expect great quality. Room was mostly clean (carpet could use a thorough cleaning) and the furnishings were obviously used. Tub faucet leaks. Room cleaning crews need to be more diligent. While checking for bed bugs (new habit when entering any hotel/motel room) found a washcloth stashed between mattress and headboard. Wrapped up in the washcloth was a "crack" pipe or a pipe for smoking drugs. Turned this in at the office desk, the clerk was very apologetic, and stated that the manager would take action as was appropriate. Motel seems to accomodate a good number of trades people (those staying for more than just a few days). Continental breakfast was as expected: bagels, sweet rolls, muffins, apples, coffee, milk, orange and apple juices, instant oatmeal and grits, and cold cereal.
Okay to stay for just a night or two.
