Cherokee Valley Golf Club

Attraction details
Owner description: Cherokee Valley is a spectacular Blue Ridge Mountain golf mecca that attracts players from all over the country. With a mild, four season climate, you can enjoy comfortable golf play at Cherokee Valley all year round. Our 18 Hole, 6586 yard par 72, Dye designed championship course is a masterpiece to play. Great courses are often defined by the quality of their greens and the Champion Bermuda greens at Cherokee Valley are among the best in all the Upstate. With a gorgeous waterfall on our signature 5th hole and magnificent Blue Ridge Mountain views providing a vivid backdrop. The dramatic elevation changes and impeccable conditions make Cherokee Valley a must play destination.

“Good mountain course”

Greens were in good shape, as were the fairways. Great price. It's not some of the surrounding courses at The Cliffs, but then again you know that going onto the course.

“Priced right”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 September 2012

WARNING: No alcohol served.
The service and the facilities are top shelf. The cart attendant, the course staff, and the food service people were all outstanding. The hot dog was great.
We were a group of 4. The course is tough and demanding. The price was very reasonable. However, I found it (along with our entire group) to be poorly put together. It seemed like every green was either climbing a mountain to get to it or from it. The cart paths were routed wrong. Also, the hillsides (it is a "mountain type" of course) were backwards --- dogleg right and the slope was harshly to the left and vice versa. There were a lot of blind tee shots and others that were cleverly hidden. Frankly I found it too tough for an average golfer.

“Close Mountain Golf”

Very nice track. Challenging but fair. Defintinely worth the drive. Price is very good, only not sure if they are still serving beer any longer? Might be a problem if them don't..

“Challenging Dye Mountain Course”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2012

Beautiful views provide for an even more entertaining round of golf on this Pete Dye mountain course. Well manicured from tee to green but with plenty of challenge for any level of golfer. The changes in elevation provide for an added test. Set in the Piedmont region of the SC upstate countryside this course is good for a round of golf or a weekend getaway. Rental condos are on site. Golf packages are available. Club includes a pro-shop and a restaurant facility.
