I have disabilities and have stayed at almost every hotel in Deadwood. This place exceeds BY FAR everyplace for ease of comfort, helpful people and easy to get around. I plan to stay here again this summer. The restaurants are wonderful, food is excellent...just a great place to enjoy.

Room Tip: If you have disabilities, ask for a room close to where you can convenietly park your car right outs...

I stayed here for 5 nights in early May 2012. The staff were great. We were there for a conference and the staff was always helpful. The restaurant had really good food and drinks. The burgers were very popular and the chicken-fried steak was good. The casino was OK, but a disappointment that Craps are not allowed in Deadwood. Deadwood was dead. Weekdays in early May are not popular. The business area was good, the printers quick. The only downside to the whole property is the location: great views but not within walking distance to Deadwood. There is a small bus that makes the rounds between Deadwood downtown area and the hotel for $1, so that is fine. I would stay here again. Had a room on the 4th floor with a balcony. I would not really want a room in decent weather without a balcony if I had to work much in the room.

Room Tip: 4th floor with Balcony

Big, comfortable room. Not walking distance to town, though. We didnt use it, but the pool looked great for kids.

The staff and management at The Lodge At Deadwood would like to thank you for your comments. It is always a quick trip to downtown Deadwood on the city trolley. It stops at the resort ever hour to take guests to any of the city attractions. We also have a free shuttle during non trolley hours to accommodate our guests at the Lodge. We look forward to having you visit again soon.

A true gem for Deadwood SD! Clean and great customer service for a town of lackluster customer service. Only down thing was a poor showing by the chef and that still brought a very good rating! Upgrade your chef please

It was nice to stay in a hotel that used some of my casino losses in their decor! Very nice hotel and rooms! We have stayed here a few times, always a treat. The casino has some fun/different games too.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a balcony over looking the black hills.

Very clean, extremely friendly staff at front desk, restaurants and casino. The place to stay when in Deadwood. Parking is more secure than any of the other places, (they have their own parking lot adjacent to the hotel), rooms are large, brightly furnished, clean, (carpets smelled like they had just been shampooed!) lots of pleasant amenities, good prices in restaurant, bartender knows how to mix a good cocktail, and a one dollar shuttle ride will ferry you into town if you don't want to drive. We didn't care about the view from the hotel window because we were only in the room to sleep and that was helped by quiet surroundings, crisp clean sheets and a confortable mattress. Our stay was made better by a very reasonable price for the night. A+ rating, the best of four hotels we stayed in on our cross-country trip!

Room Tip: Make an advance reservation and read other traveler's tips if you want a view!

Stayed at the Lodge for a conference. The facility is well suited for this type of event. It's new hotel with adequate parking, a premium in the Deadwood area. The decor is Old West Lite and is nicely done. The staff was very friendly. The sports bar/restaurant was a good retreat from the gaming area and the food was above average. The Casio is not front and center and can be somewhat avoided if one wants too. It is too far from Deadwood to walk but there is a shuttle service. Access is easy to and from the interstate. Unless it's important to you to be in downtown Deadwood, you can't go wrong staying at the Lodge.
