“Good solid food where you CAN get a salad”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

Deadwood is not far from Sturgis, and it seems that town does not know how to make a salad. But at Oggie's, certain things are really excellent here, and all portion size are extremely large. Sharing is definitely an option! The onion ring appetizer is HUGE and delicious! 4 people can share it easliy. But what was also excellent and really appreciated was the Grilled Salmon Salad. The salmon portion was huge and prepared perfectly. I opted for the Walleye fish on another occasion and while that was enough to feed 2 people and just "OK," the Salmon Salad was excellent. The Vegetable Pasta was also an excellent dish.

A tip: You can order from the Oggie's menu or the menu from the fancier restaurant on the other side. As Oggie's has the more relaxed atmosphere of a sports bar, we preferred eating there. Some of the menu items are the same, but a bit cheaper on the Oggie's menu, so ask for both menus and compare.

“Great hotel restaurant”
Reviewed 20 August 2013 via mobile

We ate at Oggies with two kids. The waitress was very nice and service was great. We went during happy hour and its a great deal. The nachos were delicious! The only thing we didn't find to be spectacular was my Southwest Salad. I didn't taste any cilantro (which I love and was looking forward to) it was overdressed and it comes with chicken but it was maybe a half a breast. I would still eat there again... The onion rings looked fantastic!

“Consistently Excellent”
Reviewed 8 July 2013

We've eaten often this year at Oggie's, and have never been disappointed with either the quality of the food or the service. Reasonably priced, with great burger combinations and the best fried pickles in town. Can be crowded during happy hour, but the half-price pizza and wings are well worth the wait.

“Wide variety on menu”
Reviewed 27 June 2013

We were at the casino and decided to eat at Oggie's Sports Bar. They have several flat screens mounted around the room, so it was easy to find something to watch while dining. I ordered the salmon, which was very good. It was served with "fingerling" potatoes, carrots, and spinach. It was a great combination. The waitress was very friendly, courteous, and prompt in her service. Their menu has a wide variety, including Mexican, seafood, pizza, Asian shrimp, wings, chicken, beef, and even buffalo burgers and a Braised Buffalo BBQ sandwich. We don't drink, so I can't judge the quality of the drinks, but the menu includes a wide variety of domestic, imported, and hand-crafted beers, as well as a wide variety of wines. Overall, a very nice restaurant with average casino prices.
