We stayed at Celebrity Hotel for one night during our trip to the Black Hills. By far this was the best appointed hotel during our visit. The hotel is in the historic district of the town, right on the main drag.

We stayed in room 103, which had two double beds. The rooms were quite and smokefree. The bathroom was gorgeous; I won't go into detail but it was everything others have described. We were steps from the main street and close to restaurants and of course the gambling. Celebrity does have a small casino but there are probably bigger ones around. There is a small car museum which we enjoyed, along with celebrity guitars along the wall of the casino. One hidden gem is an outside patio upstairs where you can enjoy a drink or breakfast. The latter is complementary but minimal. Great coffee though.

The most surprising part about our stay was the hotel price, for the amenities and room this is a bargain. I highly recommend staying at the Celebrity.

Nice clean room with nice bathroom.

I won't repeat the other reviews. I concur this is the nicest place to stay in Deadwood.

Just beware the smoke odor. It carries into all parts of the place.

Stayed for 1 night in room 215 and were impressed with the standard of the room & they are exactly as described on their website.Room is quite copompact but very clean and with a really comfortable King bed.The bathroom has the wow factor with its marble countertop & tiles, luxury shower & seperate tub with gold fittings.
In room safe provided which we found was not the norm on our trip.
Our room was located close to the door leading to the casino stairwell so at times you could get a smell of smoke & the sound of the odd boisterous gambler going to their room later in the night but they were only minor issues.
Breakfast is served beside the bar on the ground floor which is the casino. Its a self serve continental breakfast & the area is a little disorganised so you may have to search in the fridge & the cabinets to find whats available.
There is a small car park adjoining the hotel and they appear to have a policy of definetly no check in to rooms before 3pm as listed on their site.Because check in is at the single cashier desk its a pretty rushed process so dont expect the greatest welcome in the world.
We enjoyed our stay in the Celebrity and Deadwood is a fun town but felt unless your into gambling 1 night was sufficent.

We counted and this was our 9th different hotel in Deadwood in the past few years and first time at the Celebrity. It was worth the wait. Wow! Great staff and wonderful room. We stayed in 202, maybe the smallest of their rooms, but it was clean, large bathroom and wonderfully cool for the 4th of July Holiday, which believe me, other hotels are not. The patio was great for quite time and for watching action on the street below. We have always loved the casino and the staff, but it was great to be able to walk up the stairs to home. We were late check in and I was met with all papers waiting for me and they even asked how to say my name correctly! No one has ever done that. Very flexible for letting us in and out of the fantastic parking next to the building. It's nice to add to the complements for such a class operation. Our search for our 'Deadwood Home' may have ended here.

We were there for 4th of July and stayed in room 219 - a "luxiourous King". The room was amazing. When we first walked I was little worried as you enter through the casino and check in through the cashier's window. However once on the 2nd floor, I was quite surprised. Our room had a jacuzzi and fireplace, and was immaculate and modern. We faced the street so we could watch the action but the room was quiet. I have stayed in 5 star hotels that were not as nice. There as a really nice sun deck between the 2 wings and it nice to chill out on that patio. They had hassel free parking next to the hotel.
I think one night would be enough in Deadwood but would definately recommend this hotel.

We stayed in Room 101 in the non-smoking section of the Hotel/Casino.
Although we were on the 1st floor it was amazingly quiet.
The room itself was elegant (with period furniture) with a fabulous bathroom.
The staff went our of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Stayed just for one night in room 217 and found the room very comfortable, they also have a noce private car park controlled by a barrier so parking the car was very easy.

There is no reception desk and you check in and get your room key form the cashier in the casino area and she is sat behind a grille so there is no welcoming reception area and from what we saw there appears to be very little quiet public areas where you could sit and have some peace and quiet as the whole ground floor is dominated by the casino.

Breakfast was a nice continental breakfast that you actually eat sat at the bar on the stools but that was no rpoblem for us.

The slot machines in the casino were not so good for us but although we did not win our money lasted a long time as the machines were quite cheap to play.

The hotel is in the centre of Deadwood so everything is close to hand, if we ever returned to deadwood we would stay here again
