This RV park is the closest to the centre of Deadwood City and a bus calls by twice an hour to take you into town ($1). It is a very long and thin park which runs uphill into the gulch and therefore parts of it do not get the sun during the later part of the day – a mixed blessing which also makes it feel a bit claustrophobic since you cannot see out. TV reception is very poor, the internet is very good, washing and drying costs $4, there is a swimming pool and a basket ball court. We booked in advance and were pleased we did this because the park was full (Rodeo weekend), we were checked in helpfully and quickly and given tourist information. We noticed that staff at the park were always on the move tending to things around the park. The pitches were quite close together and our pitch was flat gravel surrounded by grass. We have no complaints at all and consider it good value for what we paid at a peak time of the year.
