We stayed at Lenwade for the weekend for a family wedding. The building is beautiful, the grounds stunning and the staff - particularly Karl and Lewis were so helpful and accommodating. There ability to cater for a gluten free eater at every meal was faultless. Will definitely return.

We stayed here for a friends wedding and were really excited thinking we were going to a lovely Hotel. The cost of the rooms is much the same as we normally pay for a treat night away but the rooms here are by far not up to standard! Heaters chipped and rusting stained, curtains didnt fit windows, and the ceiling light in the bathroom had never been cleaned as was housing a huge amount of flies! We in fact reported the light and were told they would come and clean it, they never did! On check in we confirmed double with a single for little one, get to the room and she didnt have a bed, so had to wait and chase that. Breakfast, well I have few words! Teapots would be nice and a little table service perhaps for tea and coffee, self service for everything was not easily done, with the entire restaurant trying to serve themselves all from one small area! Not a very relaxing breakfast. The grounds are beautiful and its such a shame that this Hotel is not coming in at the standard that it could. Potential is huge but poor management is very obviously a problem here! Oh and they REALLY need a window cleaner!

My partner and I fell in love with this venue and believed that we had been offered a good price for a wedding in August 2015. It wasn't until earlier this year when we saw them advertising on Groupon for £4,500 cheaper than our quote did we question this. At first we thought it must be for out of season weddings but when we looked at the offer it was for any day throughout the year apart from Saturdays in August (our wedding was booked for a Friday). The price advertised was £1,600 less then the price we were given for the venue hire alone and included sit down 3 course meal for 50 (we were having 2 course) and an evening buffet for 100 (we were told not to have a buffet as this was the most expensive evening option). When this was bought to the hotels attention, they said our day was tailor made to us... I cant see how a cheaper evening option, a smaller wedding breakfast and the option of chair covers and flowers for the venue costs £4,500!!! We have booked another venue near by which is equally as stunning and offers everything Lenwade do but at half the price! Lovely venue but be very careful when agreeing wedding pricing!!! Had the groupon offer been a few hundred pounds difference or for last minute/out of season weddings we could have looked over this...

I understand from our Wedding Co-ordinator that she had been in touch with your regarding your wedding for next year and explained to you more than once regarding the Groupon Deal which we held for this year to fill a few dates for weddings. This was for a basic package, basic menu, no extras, no frills. Not the wedding package which you required. I believe she did ask you to come in and have a chat re your package but you had already decided to book else. Even though Lenwade House was your dream wedding venue. I am sure the venue which you have booked is lovely and you will have a faboulous day to remember.

The hotel is set in beautiful countryside and is an old historical building that had been added to many times over the years. The staff were excellent and very friendly, we had a deluxe room which I would not have called deluxe, however it was very good and we had no complaints with it.
The bathrooms are a bit tired and could do with modernising but again we were able to relax in the middle of nature, very nice.

My wife and I and a group of close friends stayed at Lenwade Hotel as part of a wedding party. The experience was splendid due to the company we were with. The hotel generally could in my view only be described as average although it has the potential to do great things. The food service and pricing were within acceptable parameters with the exception of breakfast which offered poor value and choice. One's sense was that of a hotel which at times lacked cohesion and the reassurance of being well organised.
Breakfast as with many other outlets lacked an attention to detail. The plates were cold as was the food and the inability to enjoy a pot of tea rather than a tea bag in a cup added to a lack of finesse and festered a bucolic offering. I would also have preferred smoked haddock or kippers but this alas was not an option.

Lovely long driveway leading to impressive mock Tudor building and very pretty surroundings. Quite disappointed with the standard of room and attention to detail. Manager was kind enough to swap room which was better, but if all rooms are the same price they should all be of the same standard and they do not reflect the charm of the building itself.
On the plus side the service, food and breakfast was lovely.
