My mother and I recently stayed here for two nights durin our trip to SD. Having never really enjoyed a B&B before, I was pleasantly surprised with all the extra personal touches we experienced. Booking was easy and personable, spoke with Linda and easily arranged the booking. We stayed in the Chessie Lees Peas room which was quite comfortable for the two of us (there is also a loft upstairs with an extra bed, this is an extra fee). The pillowtop queen bed and full bed were just fine. There is a fridge and microwave off in an alcove. A coffee maker is included in the room as well. When hearing that my mom liked decaf, Sam immediately went and ground some up for us. Very responsive.
I like the fact that the room has its own entrance. We were there during a freak April snowstorm and the pellet stove/fire kept us warm and cozy.
Breakfast was large and filling. We were able to request what we wanted in our omelette the night before.
The location was great, within walking distance to downtown Hill City and there is an excellent restaurant next door.
Sam and Linda did everything to make sure we were comfortable. Sam even dug our car out from under the snow for us!
I would highly recommend this B & B!
