Description: Experience our award-winning wines in a fun and relaxed setting in the heart of the Black Hills. Find us three miles northwest of Hill City on Highway 385, just a few miles from Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Crazy Horse Memorial. We’re Hill City’s only working winery and Sandi Vojta, our fifth generation winemaker, handcrafts each wine, often using old family recipes, just a few steps from our Tasting Room. Start your Prairie Berry Winery experience with a free wine tasting of up to five of our award-winning wines, including our Anna Pesä handcrafted traditional European wines, at our Tasting Bars. We produce a variety of wines in styles for every palate – from crisp, dry wines and robust, oak-aged reds to sweet, fruity varieties. Our Kitchen offers housemade menu items including gluten-free, vegetarian and kids’ options. Menu selections pair perfectly with our wines, vary with the season and many of our ingredients are sourced locally. Enjoy a meal on our patio with our beautiful views of Black Elk Peak (formerly Harney Peak). Our brewery, Miner Brewing Company, is located next door.

This winery give 5 free wine tasting of its fruit wines. The help does a great job of telling local stories. It has a nice array of gifts and wines to take home.

Decided to stop to see what the local winery has to offer. Being to Napa several times, my standards of wine tasting are pretty high. This was the only winery I wanted to try since the others had their wine shipped in. I liked that you were given five free wine tastings instead of the traditional three. We noticed that most of their wines were of the berry origin instead of the grape derivative. That was a big difference especially if you were a dry wine drinker since those were limited. Overall it was a nice stop for a wine tasting. They do have an outside patio to enjoy a meal or just a glass of wine.

My wife and I did a wine tasting, had lunch and walked away with a half dozen bottles of very unique wine. Great little lunch menu, really geared at adults, and a quaint little place to enjoy it. This is a great place to stop and a chance to take a great part of the Black Hills home with you.

Their wines are unique and good--the first five samples are free. We also enjoyed the food-- their menu is simple but very good and well prepared. The shop is filled with many wines and other products of interest to wine lovers.

A local winery, the place is wonderful, laid-back and worth the stop if you're visiting the Black Hills. Locals love it, too!

Went with family, met at the door by a perky, friendly host (Sonja) who led us through an informative, enjoyable tasting session of 5 different wines. She was very well-versed in offering the right wines to meet individual tastes and encouraged us to try something a bit different to expand our pallet knowledge. Wonderful host!

Facility is clean and well laid-out, offers wine club memberships (and associated discounts) and other perks. We stopped in for a single bottle to take home, ended up with six!

Simply one of the best wineries we've ever visited. Will definitely visit on our next trip back to the Hills.
