We stopped in for dinner as a last minute option. The food was good (fettuccine), the service not so much. Our server was slow and even forgot to give us our bill and then forgot again to complete the payment. Fortunately, another waitress stepped up to help us so we didn't have to continue waiting. The kids had good meals and the place appeared to be clean with a nice atmosphere.

We went to the Ponderosa to get out of the rain after a long day of driving. Upon entering, the hostess was awkward but seated us quickly. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu but aloof to our allergy concerns. The service was decent, but the food was very obviously out of a package. The chicken alfredo was burnt and flavorless - it reminded us of those Knorr Pasta Sides packets you get for $1 at Walmart. The fajita meat was clearly pre-made and just warmed up, and the buffalo meatloaf had terrible flavor. The cheese was fake, the dessert was very overpriced, and the best part of the meal was leaving when they finally gave us our check.

While the people were mostly friendly, and the food was decent, the place is run by severely incompetent managers (apparently). The servers are both undertrained and understaffed, making the wait times for food/general service unbearable and creating a lot of frustration on the customer's part.

We arrived to the KOA a little late and hadn't had dinner yet. The Ponderosa was right next door but was closing in 15 minutes. We felt really bad about arriving so close to closing time but the staff was super friendly and said they didn't mind. I just ordered the chicken tenders and my boyfriend had the fettucini alfredo. The food was good and the service was awesome. I definitely recommend if you are staying at the KOA and don't want to go far for a meal.
