My family stayed at Crooked Creek for a reunion of sorts. We had Cabin 1, Cabin 2 and Cabin 6. Cabin 1 has a full kitchen, 1 small bedroom with a queen bed and 1 small bedroom with a queen bed and a twin. There's also a dining area in the kitchen and a living room. The place was clean and comfortable for cabin accomodations. Some things to note... Cabin 2 and Cabin 3 are connected. Meaning it's like a duplex. Not a huge deal, but they do share a wall with each other. We didn't know that from the listing. If you plan on cooking a lot in the cabin, you may need some extras depending on your meal. There were no large mixing or serving bowls. But the office kindly let us borrow theirs. Also, the breakfast is not served everyday. Only weekends.
It was great to be so close to Hill City and other attractions. Overall it was a decent stay, but for the money I'd probably look at the lodges in Custer State Park next. Those places looked amazing and for the same price.More
