Thank you very much for your feedback!
It was an older facility but was very clean and comfortable. And has nene very well kept up. Definitely a budget hotel. The beds were comfy, had great pillows, clean bathroom, The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great nights sleep! Would I stay there again? You betcha.
Thank you for your feedback - it was a pleasure to have you & hope you return to see us again soon!
Overall the room was clean and reasonably comfortable. But although the room was marked as non-smoking, it smelled heavily of stale smoke. The entire facility is rather dated and worn, but fairly clean. Breakfast was OK. The best thing about the place is the location relative to the Badlands National Park.
The General Manager here appears to do everything herself. She was on the phone and quite upset with the person on the other end - one of the booking places, as far as I could tell. Someone was to arrive after midnight and there would be no one on duty to give them their key she said. A sign on the wall tells guests to pick up phone and wait for the answer if they needed help after a certain time. After asking, I found out that the manager lives there and must just cover emergencies during the night. The room we had was old looking and smelled like it was old. The bedspreads are the old, worn, multicolored type that you know do not get washed after every guest - at least I presume they don't. The breakfast, or lack thereof, should be an embarrassment. There again, the same General Manager was covering the front desk and trying to keep up with the breakfast food. They ran out of coffee, donuts (the little powdered sugar ones that you buy by the bagful), a lone hard-boiled egg was sitting in a container and the pancakes are frozen, individually wrapped, small silver-dollar sized ones that you put in the microwave. An Eggo would have been more appealing. I heard a grandma tell her little grandson to go get some more orange juice if he was still thirsty and he said no because it tasted like water. The eating area smelled like dog urine. If we weren't traveling and way out in no-mans land, we would have left. It made us nauseated and we had a cup of coffee (before they ran out) and a donut and my daughter went to get another one and they were gone. I do not recommend this motel.
We were just here on 8/5/18...motel is close to Badlands and Minuteman Site...clean...no pool. It is near some food places and a gas station. It was quiet and we originally had a reservation but needed to alter it by one day and had no problems.
Not much for furniture in the room. Picture on website is not a realistic view of a queen room, at least for us. OK room. Not much for a continental breakfast. Price was pretty high for the room and the age and condition of the hotel. Maybe due to summer time price increases? Also, Ice machine didn't work. .
There is a good restaurant adjacent that we would really recommend.
