We had a great experience here starting with our fabulous server Chelsey all the way to the large portions of food. Thought it was good for the price. Will definitely be stopping by again on our way back through.

It seems a bit over priced for the amount of food you get. The service was great. The atmosphere was good. Over all an enjoy able evening.

Stayed overnight in Mitchell, driving through from Montana on our way home to Missouri. We were hungry for a sit-down meal. We decided to give Whiskey Creek a try. The building looked nice inside and out with a rustic steakhouse look. The bacon wrapped grilled shrimp were just alright. The bacon was not necessary and was picked off. The rice tasted like it had bacon grease drizzled over it and not in a good way. The mashed potatoes were really good and the only thing we actually enjoyed. The side salad and avocado and chicken salad were not very good. The lettuce was not very fresh and the chicken was dry and had no flavor. The service was friendly, and the restaurant was clean.

Good atmosphere, helpful staff......ordered the brisket and ribs....it was early evening and they came out dry.....I think if I had ordered an entree that had to be prepared right then, like a steak, it would have been better.....the coleslaw was drowning in too much juice.....

We ordered the rib eye.We eat a lot of steak and are fairly uppety about this. We are picky about our meat. The atmosphere was terrific. Pine tables and booths. Cowboy posters and pictures definitely give you a feel of the west. Service was impeccable. Attentive without over intruding.
Food: we both ordered rib eye steak medium rare. Both were cooked perfectly. However: while my husband's steak was of good quality, mine was good, but the cut was at the end of the rib, which can have (and mine did) some sinue tissue. My steak meat was seperated with tough, fatty sinue. Now...the meat itself on my steak was perfect, but I had to cut around the fascia or tissue that encase the meat. I might be picky here, but for 24$....
Meat is cooked over an oak fire, which imparts a luscious taste to any meat. This is a primal instinct that still serves us well.
My husband had fried with his steak, which looked homemade. The fire grilled veggies on a stick were good, but could use a marinade to add depth.
Margaritas were good.
If you want an after dinner drink, you MUST have the cinnamon swirl coffee drink. The best!
This drink combines rum, fire whiskey, coffee and cream. Topped off with a generous sprinkle of cinnamon served in a martini glass, this drink feels and tastes like a liquid cinnamon bun!
This place is good!!!
