“Great location”
Reviewed 8 August 2014 via mobile

This is the second time we've stayed here and have not been disappointed. Staff were nice, our room was clean, and it was quiet. The hotel has a great location close to Mt. Rushmore and other attractions. There are plenty of restaurants nearby but most are not within walking distance. We will stay here again.

Nice clean and quiet with a good location. The location is good for touring Mt. Rushmore and other area attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions on area attractions. My room was on the second floor which was quiet. Nice comfortable king beds in a well appointed room.

Most all the reviews are on target about the hotel. To me the pool was not too small nor the breakfast so-so. We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful experience with very friendly, helpful staff. If there was one thing I would have liked, that would be a "white noise" in the room (I heard there is an app for that now), it was not noisy per se but the a/c just didn't provide that white noise I needed like some do. This hotel is expensive but for a stay relatively close to Mt. Rushmore it is "cheap" in comparison.

This Sleep Inn was very clean, and the price was lower than comparable hotels in the area - Mt. Rushmore area seems to be a bit overpriced, and booked up quite a bit in advance. We were happy to choose this hotel over other chains very close by. Very nice staff, decent sized rooms (a little small, but had everything including microwave, reefer, desk, desk chair, chair, king bed, big closet, dresser, night stands), quiet, clean. They give you whatever you ask for - in this case we asked for extra towels and got some every day from then on. Free breakfast, small eating area, but staff kept a close watch and it was clean at all times. Plenty of parking, computer with printer in lobby, bathroom in lobby, fruit at front desk. We drove to downtown Rapid City, Mt. Rushmore, Devil's Tower, Deadwood, Rushmore mall, Carmike 10 movies from this hotel - it was a good location. Laundry is on 2nd and 4th floors (one washer and one dryer - $1.00 to wash, $1.00 to dry, and $1.00 to buy a pack of detergent) - machines did a good job but needed to be cleaned (smelled a little sour). We were very pleased with the 3 rooms we stayed in for 5 nights - good value for sure!

Room Tip: we were on the 4th floor and it was quiet. the elevator is pretty quiet - but stay away from the la...

Quite possibly the smallest hotel pool on the face of the Earth. Staff was friendly and welcoming and my family and I enjoyed our stay. I would suggest avoiding the third floor (pet floor), though. Their WiFi is pretty awful as well. If you are looking for a friendly, centrally located hotel at a good price, this one will work. If you are traveling for business and need WiFi, avoid. The breakfast was good and attended to by courteous and hard workers. I don't recall the one attendant's name (very short lady from California) but she was an absolute joy. Chat with her when you're there; she will make you smile.

Room Tip: Avoid the third floor (unless your dog is with you).

The room itself is very nice. The bathroom is huge. Everything is modern. Aside from the size of the room, everything is small. The towels are the size of hand towels and do a nice job of exfoliating. The beds are small and very firm. The pillows are half the size of a normal pillow. The pool is on the small size. Like I said very pretty hotel. It just shows that some things are skin deep.

My family of 5 stayed there for a week. Good location with proximity to downtown and highway. Room was a bit small but I appreciate that it had a microwave and a fridge. Very clean! Housekeeping staff were awesome and very nice! Front desk staff were always very helpful and nice. Breakfast was so so. They alternated bacon and sausage on days. Usually always had scrambled eggs (artificial), assortment of bread and pastries, batter to make waffles, milk from a pitcher, cereal, juice, and yogurt. It got kind of tiring for the week but I appreciate that it was free. The staff was very pleasant and worked hard to keep up with the rush. Like some of the other reviewers this hotel was prob a bit overpriced for what you got. However the cleanliness and staff were awesome!
