“Interesting bikes”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

We took visited at the end of March, so almost everything in town was closed, but this museum was open. It was a fun place to stop. Admission is pretty pricey, $8-10 depending on how many people in your party. The bikes were in good condition and there was a variety of different styles and models. The audio tour on your phone is a fun addition. It doesn't take a lot of time to walk through and was interesting.

“A great museum and a nice cooler break from mainstreet”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

I thought they had a good collection of Indians and Harleys, but also alot of other bikes that round out a nice collection. For some reason I thought the collection would be even bigger because of Strugis' history, but even so, it is a very nice collection. It was also nice to spend some time in a cooler building rather than roast on Mainstreet during the rally

“A good reason to get off the interstate”
Reviewed 17 November 2013

The Black Hills have so much to offer. Of course we know that Sturgis hosts the "largest costume party" in the world in early August with its huge and historic motorcycle event(s). Sturgis "is" the event actually. Greatest people watching in the world.

But I digress. There was an earlier iteration of this museum but the financials needed to get figured out better, always a problem with museums. They got it right this time.

Nice display of motorcycles and related memorabilia and growing. I'm partial because I am an inductee but I've been to many motorcycle museums in several countries and this one is well worth your visit.

Whether you are at the rally, travelling through or on a family vacation in the Black Hills stop for awhile, heck, everyone needs a Sturgis T-shirt so you might as well get yours here.

“Lots of bikes”
Reviewed 9 November 2013

This is a well organized and clean place full of bikes, especially old Indians, beautifully restored. There were actually very few Harlys. No shovel- or pan- heads but one knucklehead. More than half of the display is downstairs with no elevator. Attendants were friendly.

So glad that you were able to visit the museum and enjoyed yourself. Just one quick correction - we do have an elevator to our lower level - so sorry you weren't aware of it when you were here.

“Two Wheel History”
Reviewed 9 October 2013

Make time to stop by this museum if you are in the Black Hills area. Nominal entry fee to view motorcycle history. Huge collection of Indians and other unusual bikes. Ability to roam at your leisure. Take the time to look in every corner or you might miss something. Don't forget to bring your camera.
