We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. Our location is convenient to the Badlands and Wall Drug. The next time you are in the area I hope you stay with us again.
The staff was very friendly upon check-in. The rooms may have been a little outdated, but the bed was comfortable. We were so excited the next morning when we discovered they had hot biscuits and gravy for breakfast! Favorite part of our stay.
Thanks for staying with us and letting us know about your stay. We are in the process of remodeling and updating. If you come this way again, you will notice the changes. Thanks again.
I spent a little longer in the Badlands National Park than I had originally intended so we decided to stay in Wall, South Dakota rather than push on to Rapid City. We had had good luck with Econo Lodges on this road trip so were glad to find one right in the middle of town. When I went into the office to check on the availability of a pet friendly room, I was greeted quite warmly by the owner who was a fellow dog lover and offered a room for only $79 including taxes - the best rate we had been offered on this trip.
She gave us a room right next to the office on the ground floor and we found it spacious, clean and equipped with all of the amenities, including a microwave and minifridge with freezer compartment so we could refreeze our ice packs for our cooler. I was told the complimentary breakfast was served in the pool house right across from our room that adjoined a sparkling clean and inviting outdoor pool.
In the morning we found a full breakfast waiting for us including waffles, hot and cold cereal, apple and orange juice, and bagels and toast. There was also a big plate of fresh chocolate-iced yeast donuts and little containers of applesauce - something that we had not seen in other lodges. It was very pleasant to sit around the pool and enjoy the morning sun.
Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We are in the process of remodeling and updating our rooms and hope you come back again.
$65 was a great value here. Clean and comfy, great jump off for Badlands National Park. Has non-smoking and non-pet rooms. Two levels, no elevator to second. Extended continental breakfast starting at 6:30. Would stay here again.
Thanks for choosing to stay with us and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you the next time you are in the area.
Hotel was pet friendly and did not charge for dogs. A little on the old side, but it was very clean. Room was a little noisy, you could hear everything going on in the parking lot. There were two cattle trailers in the lot overnight, one with cows and the other with horses. Also, two dogs were left in one of the trucks overnight and everytime they barked, our dogs would start to bark. Breakfast was limited to a few things and was served near the outdoor pool.
We apologize for the noise of the animals in the parking lot. We had an animal rescue group staying with us that night. Typically it is quiet and we don't have trouble with animals making noises. If you come this way again I hope you would consider another stay with us.
We stayed here as we passed through SD and our trip was poorly timed to Bike Week in Sturgis. The room was clean for the most part. The carpets could probably use a good shampooing. It is located right next to a gas station so all night there were Harley's pulling in with their loud pipes filling up. The desk isn't staffed over night either so if you need something, forget about it. We decided to check before 6am in part to get through Sturgis before anyone was awake and because we slept poorly and there was no one to check us out. I like to get a receipt and couldn't get one. If you're an early riser, get a receipt before you go to bed for the night.
Bike week is a hard week to stay any where in western South Dakota. I am sorry that you were kept awake by the noise but the gas station next to us closes at 10pm. It is true that our office closes at 11pm but there is someone in the office overnight. If you needed anything you could of called the office and they would have been happy to assist you. Thanks for staying with us.
