Wall drug which started in the early 30's is a great stop for families with kids. If you don't have kids you got to stop at least once and see all the stuff for sale. I have to say the book store at Wall Drug is fantastic with a fascinating collection of books for sale on the American West.

A hodge podge of little shops. Given all the signs it was a box check to say I have been there but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. Prices of tourist stuff seemed competitive with Rapid City.
Decided to make the stop here on our trip along I90 and it was definitely worth it. The store was so much fun! We were there for at least 2 hours just to look at everything. We had lunch and the cafe was good and the ice cream was even better! If you ever have a chance to stop here do it!!
We thought this seemed like the biggest souvenir/tourist trap ever but was great fun walking around.Lots to look at, you could spend a lot of time here if you choose to.Glad we went.
I was looking forward to this stop...wanted my free water and to see this place.....the story around it is awesome....American success story....but I found many clerks to be unfriendly and its really just a craptacular souvenir stop. Gotta do once....JUST ONCE.
