This is a definitely great stop when on you way to Mt. Rushmore. There are quaint stores after stores in this huge old building, like your going back into the old west.
Lots of Black Hills gold jewelry & Indian memorabilia as well (that’s out in “Lakota Lands”).

this place is garbage. tourist trap and who cares about getting a free water, unless you are stranded. we were not impressed and the stuff being sold is crap. buy a postcard with the store's picture rather then driving out of your way to see this. waste of time and gase.

Wall South Dakota

I usually dislike "touristy" souvenir shops. However, this one is something unique. Wall South Dakota is a very small town. However an entire street welcomes tourists, and Wall's Drugstore is the driving business on main street. It is far more than a drugstore. It is a souvenir superstore comprised of several unique parts. Every kind of souvenir, and some very nice gifts like pottery and clothing, are sold here. Wall is a gateway into Badlands National Park and thus the items sold relate to the local area and culture. Wall's Drugstore offers special play areas for kids, interesting western carvings, and even an entire section of children's toys. A cafe within the complex offers good luncheon food in a huge dining area. Everything seems big in the Badlands: the horizon, the majestic sand and rocks mounds and pinnacles, and Wall's Drugstore. I remain mostly uninterested in touristic stops. Yet, I actually enjoyed walking through the complex, and my spouse loved shopping.

Had time to kill, so went in Wall Drug for the 3rd time in ten years. Couldn't say that anything has changed. Read all the poor/terrible reviews in Trip Advisor and you'll have a clear understanding of what you're in for. This place is huge, where you walk from room to room seeing endless amounts of crap that you will not buy. So, if you've been before - stay away. If you haven't had this experience yet, then by all means - go for it, but you won't like it!

We didn't know the cafe was just fast food. Food wasn't bad but nothing special and a little expensive. We walked through the shops but didn't buy anything. There was a good variety of shops though.

Wall Drug is a destination---along the way from the Badlands to Mt. Rushmore or other way around. It's a nice break. The stores are so fun to browse through. I didn't eat there, but did look at the menu at the restaurant inside the main building. The menu wasn't great---very basic. If you want a hamburger or hotdog then it's perfect.

Decided to take a slight detour on our trip to the black hills and see Wall Drug. It's just a collection of gift shops and a restaurant. Nothing special to us anyhow.

You have to stop at a place with so many advertising signs along the interstate for many miles before you get here. It did offer a lot of interesting things to see. Many exhibits, shops, restaurants (not the best reviews), and even a chapel. Glad we stopped although we didn't spend any money (we are not shoppers).
