We stayed here one night. It was perfect for visiting the Badlands - very close. The "cabins" are really free-standing motel rooms, but VERY nice, very clean and appear new. Nicely decorated. There is a breakfast included which was fine - typical hotel breakfast fare. There's a playground and hot-tub. Our room had a nice porch. Will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

Room Tip: We were on the back row which was nice since the porch backed-up to a field and it was relaxing to s...

Booked on line in advance for two nights. When we first saw it upon arrival, have to admit we were a little nervous since it is by the interstate. But we loved it and would return again! The hosts bend over backwards to make sure you have whatever you need and immediately take care of any issues that may arise. The cabins are spacious, clean and really helped us relax after being on the road for several days. The location is perfect for visiting the Badlands park. Their free breakfast is great! Not just the usual donuts and coffee, this included items like biscuits and gravy, a real hit with my husband! When traveling its nice to be able to eat in once in a while which you can do here by cooking in the cabin or on their common area grill.

We visited the Badlands, but we didn't bring camping gear on our road trip, so staying in the park seemed untenable. We drove out towards Wall and found these cabins. It's a great place, away from the noise of the interstate. We went into the local bar and visited Wall Drug, and the entire area of Wall is cute. If you're traveling with people who aren't used to the outdoors, but you want a place a bit out of the way, go here.

These little cabins were perfect for us on our way home from MT. Rooms were nicely decorated and exceptionally clean. The grounds at this property were very well maintained. Kids used the hot tub and played on the playground. Met the owner....very nice and takes pride in his work and business. Highly recommend staying here!

We were delighted with our cabin at Frontier Cabins. We loved the rustic decor, the cleanliness of the space, and the private sense of space, even though the cabins are close together. Our room had a frig and microwave and a sofa. We just stayed one night, but we were very happy with our decision to stay at Frontier Cabins. The only thing I wish was a bit different was that there was more room between the king bed and the wall.

We did not use any of the property's amenities outside the cabin nor did we eat breakfast there. There does seem to be some great play areas for children. I commented to my husband that our sons would have loved staying there when they were young.

Room Tip: Ask to have a cabin that doesn't face the road.

Only stopped for the night, but the cabins were very clean, quiet. In late out early, I wish we had more time to check it out, I am sure it probably deserves 5 stars, but we only slept here so I am not sure.

Wow.

We stayed one night at the Frontier Cabins on June 30th, 2012. On a wild swing through 6 states, we arrived from Custer, SD on night three not really knowing what to expect. I'm glad we didn't because that made it so much better.

Yes, this property is right off Interstate 90 with a short turn right just before the WALL , SD water tower.

The checkin ..... area..... is a large shop, which houses geegaws for sale, and an ample supply of fireworks to boot. It is also the breakfast spot, with bagels, muffins, toast, yogurt, coffee etc.

The cabins themselves are marvelous. Each separated by a picnic table and grill, and facing a large open field which parallels the Interstate. Don't worry, there isn't enough noise or traffic for it to be a problem at all.

Half of the cabins also face the sunset, of which ours was lovely following a really big storm that night.

Interiors pay attention to all details. All done in wood, with sitting area couch, desk, queen bed in our case, large enough TV, refridgerator (small), microwave, nice shower area, and remote control for the air conditioner.

Extra blanket and pillows are provided as well, along with iron and board, hairdryer, and toiletries. Towels are embroidered with animal theme and are plush.

Staff was super. Catherine allowed us to move to front side when we found out we faced the water tower. It really would not have been a problem, we just wanted to face the sunset and she obliged.

Room was also very quiet even with a family of four one side, and a couple on the other. Never heard a peep.

Exceptionally close to the back entrance to Badlands National Park, and of course one minute from anything you would want to see in Wall itself.

A great experience for the price. Highly recommend if you are heading to Badlands or Wall.

By the way, they also offer Teepees with cots for much less! Rough it!

Room Tip: Ask for the sunset side if available.
