“Perfect, perfect, perfect”

A wonderful place to stay, I can't fault it.
We have stayed at many self catering cottages in the UK and The Ard is by far the best.
Everything you could need is provided and the attention to detail is outstanding. It really felt like a home away from home.
Norma was the perfect host and a lovely lady and was there to greet us with a fire already going making it feel even more cosy.
there were warm freshly baked scones, jam and bubbly waiting for us too which was such a lovely touch.
The cottage was really clean, the bed was really comfortable and the bath was great, especially after a long day of walking.

Location wise The Ard is great, the view from the living room and kitchen is stunning and was the perfect place to watch the sunset and it was lovely to watch the birds and lambs and their mothers.Bosta beach is a must

i couldn't recommend The Ard highly enough. we really didn't want to leave and can't wait to return.

“Perfect”
Reviewed 24 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

The cottage was warm, cosy and comfortable and the view from the living room was fantastic. We came expecting rain and cold and the fire on at nights but were lucky enough to have blue skies and warm sunshine nearly every day which was even better :)
The local beach at Bostadh is very beautiful, daytime and sunset, we borrowed the bikes too and did some walks on the island- well worth climbing to the top of the moors for the views.
We explored a lot of lewis and harris too- would recommend a day over at luskentyre and north ton- temple cafe was fantastic food. Uig not too far and nice beaches too- mangersta and Carnish lovely.
Would recommend a boat trip with Neil from kirkebost pier to little bernera etc- well worth the money (Islands of adventure)
Am already planning my next visit - so sad to leave the islands behind
Norma at the Ard is very welcoming and the cottage is a perfect spot - can't wait to return

“Lovely Cottage with a Superb View”
Reviewed 16 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We had a wonderful week here, we were comfortable and warm despite the rainy weather. Norma was great, organising freshly caught lobster and crab for us, they were absolutely delicious. The beds were super comfortable and the cottage was very clean. Stargazing was amazing when the sky was clear. Bernera is lovely, with Bosta beach the highlight for us.
