We visited Elderbrew for a book release party. It's not a huge place, but it's got it's own funky ambiance. The name references Lovecraft, and the space decor takes a cue from Twin Peaks. It's not over the top, but it's nice to see some personality and thought given to creating an interesting bar. Elderbrew is a small batch brewery, with four house made beers. My partner tried their Thai Fighter, an ale inspired by Thai flavors, which he thought was pretty tasty. In addition to the house beers, they've got about four or five other choices on draft, including Downeast Cider. They seem to be carving out their own identity in the burgeoning Bristol brew pub scene by hosting more art and alt culture events.
