Was killing time before the Nationwide Race so we went to the caverns. Was very easy to find, worth the time and money. There is a river running through it, the guide was very good at telling everyone about the natives and settlers using the caves. It was $28 dollars for 2 adults and the tour was about 1 hour, lots of walking up and down stairs and it had just rained so the steps were a little slippery, they had hand railings so it wasn't a big deal really. Really cool.

Great Cavern. Need to get more information out about this Cavern as we came across the brochures by accident. Should go to see this cavern you won't be disappointed.

This is about the 10-11th cave we have been to. Every cave, so far, has been different. We began with Ruby Falls in Lookout Mountain Tennessee and have been to 1-2 caves every year since. Ruby Falls is definitely a starter cave for anyone, as it's very commercial and easily accessible, but, in retrospect, too commercial at this point, for us. Bristol Caverns is just past the Bristol Speedway. It is a small family-owned cave. We (husband and myself) were the only customers there and the owner took a lot of time to talk about caving with us, including showing us a book on the commercial caves throughout the United States. Our guide was young and knowledgeable, taking the time to answer any questions that we had. The use of the cave from known discovery throughout it's history was interesting. But, it is a strenuous climb for some in places, so please keep that in mind if going with children or the elderly. All in all, we loved this cave!

great, interesting and well worth a visit. Our friends took us here and we weren't let down. A very reasonably priced tour and wow what a cave this is. Beautiful colours and so hugh. We had been to Ruby Falls a couple of days before so had some idea of what to expect but hey, forget Ruby Falls!! The Bristol Cavern if massive, easy to navigate with a nice path although there are a few flights of steps, so cool in there too it was a break from the heat. Our guide did his best but seemed a little nurvous but was quite well informed. as the tour went on he loosened up. All in all a value attraction well worth a visit.

I visited the Bristol Caverns a little apprehensive after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. However, I found the caves very interesting. Having been in numerous caves throughout the country, I found these to be above average. The tour guide definitely lacked much of the scientific knowledge you hear on other tours and there were many fantastic formations that he failed to point out, however he was funny and kept the group smiling. The only recommendation I have to the administrators would be to look into alternate lighting options to reduce the algae growth within the cave. Definitely worth visiting.
