If you're familiar with the Wisconsin Ducks in Wisconsin Dells, and all their cheesy jokes that never change, year after year, guide after guide, this is similar. The guides all tell the same jokes. The cave is kind of cool, but if you've been to Mammoth Caves or other caves, this isn't as cool. The waterfall at the end is very cool. But it seems like a lot of build up. I'm glad we went but once was enough. Don't need to do it again.

July 4th weekend was very busy and their lines moved slowly - but that's because this is a one-way-in, one-way-out cave that is still in a natural setting as much as possible. I would suggest going earlier in the morning and during the week, if possible - I can imagine the line would be much shorter (even once inside the cave, there is a lot of waiting on busy days as groups walking towards the falls have to stand off to the side for groups coming out from viewing the falls). Definitely worth the trip as the falls are beautiful and an amazing natural wonder. Did not do the zip line...

We have been to Chattanooga several times and we finally made it to Ruby Falls. We enjoyed hearing the history of the discovery of the falls. There is food and drink available on site.

We went on a Saturday. I would suggest going during the week. the line was long and the tours crowded.

We had to wait in line several hours to get in to see the falls because you have to take the elevator to get to the site and they only have one elevator. There was a lot of anticipation built up by the time we actually got to the falls and it was very beautiful but it took us a total of about four hours to get there with waiting in line and the tour to the falls but we only got to stay at the falls for about 5 minutes.

Ruby Falls was absolutely amazing. Our guide knew so much about the history and had wonderful stories; he was able to keep the young children on the tour mesmerized. I have done Mammoth Cave, Squire Boone Caverns, Diamond Caverns, Mega Cavern etc. and this was the best one by far!
