Easy check-in and check-out. Older place but room was nice & big. Bed was comfy and breakfast was standard. Convenient to the interstate which was nice. Lots of restaurants close by and a nice selection too.

I stayed overnight on a Saturday, and it was a great stay from beginning to end. The room was lovely with a patio. The bed was roomy and comfortable, the pillows were perfect. The service was great. We got everything we needed. The next morning I had coffee at the Starbucks, which I drank in their beautiful lobby in front of the fireplace. I came back later for breakfast, but the Starbucks was closed. The manager, Darla Carney, happily offered to turn on the stove to make me a breakfast sandwich, but I didn't want to put her to any trouble. She recommended a great restaurant and gave me a card for 10% off. I walked to the restaurant and had a delicious meal and great service. It was a fantastic stay and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am glad to read that Darla went out of her way to try to feed you after we had closed. We are very proud of her and her service. Nothing like Starbucks on a cold morning and did you know we provide it 24 hours a day. Almost anyone on our team even in the middle of the night can make a Starbucks drink. We appreciate your business and look forward to your next stay with us.

When I checked into the hotel it was explained to me that this was an older property, which is why it has no elevator. Given that the modern elevator was invented in 1852, it seemed a bit of a weird excuse.

In any case there are only two floors, but you had better make sure you are on the ground floor if you have any difficulty with stairs.

I don't know how old the property is, but rather weirdly the upstairs is split in two so if you go up the wrong staircase it is possible to find yourself unable to access your room without going back down the stairs and going up different stairs.

Despite the weirdness of the layout, the property has been nicely remodeled. The reception area is certainly what you'd expect of a modern Courtyard. They have the usual bar and food items.

The rooms have been updated too. Tasteful decor, functional furniture, good access to power sockets for all your devices. The bathroom was clean and updated. Not ultra modern, but certainly fresh and clean. The bed was excellent and there was plenty of lighting. Heating and cooling about what you'd expect; an adjustable wall unit. And correcting a mistake of many Marriott properties in the past, you get a refrigerator.

For bonus points, this property also gives you free WiFi and the option to purchase an upgraded service that got me 6Mbps. Unlike some hotels if you buy the upgrade you can connect multiple devices without paying for each one. Guests with status also get this upgrade for free.

I really have no complaints about the lobby and the room. The bed was excellent too. My only critique is the stupid layout, which can make finding the room tricky, or parking in a place close to the room hard. Perhaps better signage or a little map could help with that problem.

If you can overlook that inconvenience, everything else is excellent, and I would certainly stay here again on my next business trip to the area.

Room Tip: If you have ANY difficulties with stairs, be sure you get on the ground floor, because there are no...

Thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback. Yes, we are one of the first Courtyard Marriott hotels in design. Back in 1991 the demographics of the traveler did not trigger an expectation for an elevator “Courtyard by Marriott -- the first lodging brand exclusively designed for business travel by business travelers” was the quote of the day. A lot has changed since then, but not our service. We are committed to making that concern not one for our guests by always providing complimentary luggage assistance or first floor if preferred. We love your idea of a simple map of our layout and our team is working on that. We look forward to your next visit and appreciate your business. Maybe if you have time when you come back you can look at what we have drawn up for a map and share any other suggestions to make it easier for our guests.

Well, it certainly isn't the modern place. Was told it was the first generation of Courtyard. No elevators so if that is a challenge to you avoid it. If you don't like 80's decor and design avoid this place. But the location was extremely good. Next to Hamilton Place Mall and surrounded by restaurants. Probably the premier shopping area in Chattanooga. Right off the interstate.

Thank you for providing your valuable feedback and business. We are one of Marriott’s first Courtyard designs having just had a full renovation just under three years ago of all our guest rooms, meeting space, courtyard, pool, and gaining the new lobby Bistro concept. We now feature Starbucks 24hrs a day and full bar. Additionally we upgraded our landscaping this past summer. For those that do not enjoy the stairs we offer complimentary luggage assistance for all our guests from our recent award winning team from the Chamber of Commerce and TripAdvisor. We are the closest hotel to Tennessee’s largest shopping complex with over 100 dining options. We look forward to your next visit with us.

My family and I decided to take a road trip to Disney World in Florida this October. We decided to try to make Chattanooga, TN the stopping point for us…about the half way point since we were coming from Chicago. We pre-researched and found this Courtyard Mariott called Courtyard Chattanooga off of I-75. It was a very nice hotel to stay at and the Hamilton Place mall area was pretty, too. But not only was it a nice place to stay, but also the staff were VERY pleasant and helpful. They went above and beyond help. We did not pre-book out visits there since we weren’t familiar with the area and wanted to be sure it was nice before committing to stay there. The way down to Florida there was a room open for us and we had a nice stay there. Shay who worked at The Bistro eating/coffee area was VERY friendly and courteous. My 3 year old son was very chatty with her and she was very sweet to him and us. We saw her again the next morning and again she was very friendly and courteous to us. On our drive back to Chicago from Florida about a week later, again not pre-booking our room (never again skipping that), we decided to stay at the Courtyard Chattanooga again since we were happy with our previous stay. Unfortunately for us at the moment…there were no rooms available there…or anywhere else in the entire area due to 3 major events going on. That’s when an angel named Lovora saved the day for us! My 3 year old son had had enough of being in the car and was crying because he didn’t understand why we couldn’t stay there again, he was tired and hungry since it was 8:00 PM by this point, and just wanted to talk to his new friend Shay. Shocked and upset at ourselves for not pre-booking the room, we were at an exhausting moment after driving so long with no hope of getting a room in any area remotely close to where we were. Lovora went above and beyond to help us find somewhere to stay! She offered us to use their computers. She made several phone calls to her company’s other hotels, as well as to others in the area. Not one single room was available. After 45 minutes of trying desperately to help us, there was a cancellation in their hotel and we were able to stay there after all! These days it seems like if it were another hotel anywhere else, they would’ve just said no vacancy and good luck on your own. But Lovora did not. She took it upon herself to find a place for us to stay and genuinely cared that it would have been a LONG, far drive to try to find anywhere else to stay…possibly driving to another state. I can not express enough how grateful my family and I are that Lovora and Shay were so kind to us and genuinely cared about our predicament and did the best they could to try to keep a smile on our faces, and a place for us to stay. And for that alone, this hotel will get our business again if we get to go back to that area. Thank you so much for making our trip even better!

Thank you so very much for sharing in such detail your experience with our staff. Nothing worse than traveling and finding you ready to rest and there is nowhere to stop for the night. We are proud of both Shay and Lovora for going that extra mile for you and your family. I have shared your comments upward with our senior leadership so that both of them can be recognized for their exceptional customer service. We look forward to your next visit with us and both of them say hello to your son.

Right in the heart of one of the busiest shopping areas of Chattanooga, this hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The rooms were well furnished and up-to-date although were not very large. There was no breakfast included but they did have a restaurant in the lobby that had what looked to have good (although expensive) food. We went down the street to McDonalds for breakfast. There were plenty of nice restaraunts nearby.

Beds were (at least for me) very soft if you like very soft beds.

Last minute trip. Had to find hotel in the area that wasn't too far from hospital that my son was in.
The hotel was exceptional! Guest service very friendly and professional, especially operations manager (forgot his name) Breakfast area, good food and friendly service! Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Room was very clean, and believe me I'm very fussy as to cleanliness! Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Get a room on the court view/pool side. Very nice!!
