“Really worthwhile trip”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

Nearly didn't do this as I am slightly obsessed with the low scoring trip advisor reviews but really glad we did. The longest, steepest funicular in the world - a return trip was only $15. Great fun - the real estate at the top is worth the journey alone and if you walk a couple of blocks you get to the memorial of the Battle for Chattanooga. Seriously you people - What's not to like. Oh and I should say the staff I came across were very friendly, nice people.

“Wow, it's steep”
Reviewed 8 May 2014 via mobile

Around 10 minute journey on comfortable cars that seat around 40. Starts off from base fairly gently but the higher you go the steeper it gets. Towards the top is the steepest. If you can sit either in front or rear seats photos will be easier. Standing not allowed.

“Really Good”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

Great place and again a must see if you going to lookout mountain. Awesome experience traveling in the incline railway and its one time experience. Staffs are good and its worth the obey. Entrance free is 15 dollars and even if its a bit higher side you won't regret going in the railway. If you are into Lookout mountain and scenic highway definitely you should visit this place and you guys gona love it..especially kids. We had a great time traveling in it and its kind of different atmosphere and experience. There is a cafeteria there and you get some food even though its not that cheap..Main thing you have to take care about is the Parking, its very less and don't for get to feed the meter otherwise Cops are there to give you ticket..Feed it or Ticket..thats a headache anyways.. Lovely view and great place and don't miss out for sure..If you wanna check out the video pls visit the below link

“Not what I expected”
Reviewed 5 May 2014 via mobile

When I got the tickets I assumed that riding the incline would take you to rock city and Ruby falls however you just go up the mountain see the city and then go back down. It is very steep but completely safe and never gets to far off the ground. I thought it was pretty cool but no one else in the family liked it.
