“GREAT LOCATION FOR RV'ING IN CHATTANOOGA”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014

Family of six came up for Thomas the Tank Engine weekend. RV sites are level and picnic table is on large concrete pad which is great! Good playground(s) for our kids. We enjoyed the combo (Caving, Gem Mining, and Go-carts). Then we played in the arcade room for awhile So close to all attractions, restaurants (Big River Grill & Sticky Fingers), and Walmart. All the staff from check-in to caving, to go-carting were very nice, friendly, and informative. This is a sweet little place convenient and less than two hours (pulling a camper) from North Ga. Their quite time is 10 p.m. and we didn't hear noise past that time as we were in our camper. We plan to make this park a frequent place to visit.

I always read reviews but in this case did not... my bad... and I have never written a complaint.
We rented cabin # 1. It was turned from the RV's which was a plus as it allowed some privacy.
We had tent campers... no more than 5 ft from our car.

But what was most disappointing was the furnishings inside the cabin. For the cost 97.00 a night, they were terrible!. The "futon" was not something you could comfortably sit on much less sleep on. We tried to make it a bed and it was broken and could not be used.
The table was so wobbly that just the slightest jar would seem as if it would collapse.
The ground may have been more comfortable than the bunk mattresses. I use that term loosely.
There were bugs in the shower, ants in the bathroom sink. light bulbs out...
The picnic tables were so warped as to not be able to even sit on one side.
There are NO cooking untensils, of any kind... no paper towels, NOTHING... It is not well noted or easily on their website. They could rent out basic pots and pans as an revenue source... you can manage with paper goods, but what do you do without basic cookware?
I would not recommend this park for anyone thinking this was anything other than the most rustic cabins. It really wouldn't take much money to bring it up with some maintainance. Its a shame because we will not stay there again.

My family and I spent two different weekends here as first time RV'ers. We needed a fair amount of advice and help with our RV as we didn't really know what we were doing. The entire staff went above and beyond to help us out, including driving me back and forth to an auto parts store. The washrooms were clean and my daughter enjoyed the playground as well. Good Job!

Alright, so many things make this place great, friendly "neighbors," great facilities, but most of all their people. The first day we were there we needed help connecting our hose, and the guy working the office came out himself with his toolkit and connected it. The last day we needed help disconnecting our hose and yet again recieved ample help, but what really showed the character of the people that work here shone through as we were about to leave. The battery. We were sunk without a paddle, but this man who had helped us earlier in the day with the hose drove my father to the nearest auto store to check the battery after testing and trying to get this battery to work. Not only did this man provide transportation and his tools he proceeded to offer to pay for a plethora of things. All in all a great, memorable 36 hour visit.

My family rented a campsite for three nights here. We were close to a clean bath house, and a swing set which our children loved. We enjoyed the go kart racing on site, and the convenience store. The campsite was quiet and had a beautiful view of the mountains.

We decided to camp here because we were doing a wild caving tour at Raccoon Mountain. This is a nice place but at night when we were trying to sleep it was noisy. We kept hearing people drive by and could hear interstate traffic all night. We decided to camp somewhere else for the rest of our stay.

My husband and I stayed in Cabin #3 for 4 nights. It was small (slept 4 but would have been really crowded) and the fridge was in the bathroom, but after all, we were camping. Glad I picked #3 since it was at the end of the road and did have a bit of privacy. Read a review complaining that it was right next to a subdivision, but we couldn't see it from this location. The park was packed by the time we left. Quick drive to back to Chattanooga and convenient to Walmart.

Room Tip: Viewed from the outside, cabins 1, 5 and 8 were in pretty good locations but were bigger than we nee...
