“Brand new hotel in great location”
Reviewed 11 January 2013

This hotel is so new the "Now open" sign is still up in the driveway. Located on the Tennessee River on Chattanooga's renovated waterfront, yet less than a mile's walk to the bars and restaurants of Broad St and Market St, it's a cut above the normal roadside leisure hotel. Rooms are spacious and well appointed in a contemporary style which wouldn't look out of place in a big city boutique hotel. The breakfast includes a hot choice and fresh fruit and the seating area is open and spacious. And there's an attentive staff clearing up and wiping the tables - a rarity in this type of hotel, where often one person struggles to keep the breakfast area stocked and the tables clean. The reception staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the best places to go in town and there's even a bar, though it's only open until 10pm. Wi-fi is fast and free. The only minor irritation was the charge for parking, which you don't expect in a leisure hotel. There's a large lot attached to the property but it's run by the city and you'll be billed $8 per day. It would be nicer if they just included that when pricing the rooms. All in all a great choice for Chattanooga, and if your room has a river view, it's the icing on the cake.

On the way back form picking up my son-in-law from boot camp the week before Christmas, we thought we had all of our stops mapped out. We were wrong - we had to book a hotel room at the last minute and the SpringHill Suites Chattanooga were wonderful we arrived later than we had planned and had called ahead they worked with us and once there were so pleasent and professional and helpful. We had breakfast the next moring that was better than any restaurant could have prepared. and then at checkout they were so nice and considerate. Will definelty stay here again.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. My family of 5 had plenty of room inside the hotel room. The room is spacious and very comfortable. There is a wonderful outdoor sitting area with a firepit that was a nice way to unwind after a day of touring. The hotel's pool was clean and was well-stocked with towels. It is an indoor pool only which was great for a winter visit. The complimentary breakfast had plenty of choices. There were waffles, fruit, cereals, eggs (with cheese, spinach, salsa, etc. to add in if you wanted), breads, yogurt, etc. The hotel's bar had an evening happy hour and the drinks were not expensive. We walked to downtown Chattanooga and it was an easy walk. The sidewalk is well lit and there were several people walking the area. There is a nice playground that you pass on the way to the downtown area. We did not feel unsafe at any time. The hotel is 0.4 miles to the aquarium's entrance from the hotel. We will definitely stay here again.

Found this hotel through TripAdvisor, needing a place to stay close to I-75 during a holiday trip. Very unique, reminded us more of a boutique hotel than a chain. The fire pit overlooking the river was an unexpected perk. The rooms are very modern, efficiently designed and comfortable. The location overlooks the river and is close to the Bluff View Art District (which is worth a visit).

The only disappointment we had was that since we arrived at 1:20 a.m. (having been on the road for hours), it would have been nice to pay a small percentage less than the full rack rate since we'd be staying less than 12 hours. In similar circumstances in the past, we've had this experience at other hotels -- though perhaps it's not customary.

Despite this small misgiving, I'd recommend giving it a try for a unique lodging experience.

The staff was great - every one of them with whom we interacted (approximately 8-10 individuals). We loved the decor and the upscale appearance of the hotel inside, outside, and in our room. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and breakfast was terrific. Would definitely stay there again! We hope that they'll keep it the same as the facility ages (according to the staff, it was only 6 months old).

We loved this hotel so much we stayed there 2 weeks apart on our trip to Florida and back. Nice location with view of the river, this brand new, modern hotel will surely please. Rooms are spacious and include a stylish sofa big enough to put several small children to sleep there. Bathrooms are gigantic and include glassed in showers. Best of all were the linens-so incredibly comfortable. I think they were plush down comforters, new and clean!!!!

The breakfast bar (free) was among the best I have seen. Food included broccoli quiche, eggs, bacon, assortment of breads and sweet bread, bagles, fruit, cereal including hot porridge, yogurt, etc. Coffee bar excellent.

Overall, service was excellent! Friendly and accommodating all the way!!!

As I was leaving, I read an article in the magazine from the room and the general manager was highlighted as having achieved great success in his career at this hotel! Bravo!!!!

Room Tip: Both rooms we had were quiet and spacious. Also they were adjoining so my kids could be nearby.

The people working there couldn't have been nicer! They corrected a miss-booking that was actually my fault and gave us a terrific room overlooking the river. Really enjoyed the bar in the lobby to have an after dinner drink.... or three :-) We enjoyed Chattanooga and would definitely go back and stay at this hotel.
