“Don't bother”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

We went to the visitors center which at the time was just out in the open, not in a building. The people were not helpful at all. We had a couple of questions which they were not able to answer. The only thing they told us to do was to walk across the birdge and go to the arts district. They didn't mention the lovely river walk were you can rent bikes, nor did they mention the Chattanooga Choo Choo. If you are going to Chattanooga do your own research.

“Great place to start”
Reviewed 2 November 2013

Start your vacation here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of brochures and information available for the tourist. It's well located near the downtown area.

“Signage is misleading”
Reviewed 21 October 2013

Permanent quarters are being remodeled, but no signs tell visitors where the center is temporarily in operation. Permanent signage on the streets is also very poor, sporadic, and in some cases misleading. Several police were asked and were unaware where the Visitor Center was located. We finally stumbled on a card table, a chair, and some pamphlets in the middle of a park in front of the Aquarium (unmanned).

“Very Helpful”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

While the Visitor Center is yet to open there were 2 representatives set up just outside the Aquarium who were amazing. Both gentlemen were knowledgeable, friendly and outgoing. Definitely good ambassadors for the Welcome Center.
