we stayed in this beautiful B&B for two nights with American friends. the owners and the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much bother.
there was a large parking area within the grounds.
checking was easy and and the staff very friendly. they showed us around all the public areas of the B&B and gave us a great history lesson on the house.

our room was on the first floor and our friends on the third. press button code lock. the rooms did not have keys just a both rooms were lovely but so very different. we had a large four poster bed that was very high that I needed to 'dreep' out of it. there was also a beautiful fireplace in our room. there was a floor standing air con unit which we found invaluable as the windows couldn't be opened the room was warm. the bathroom was very large with a bath and overhead shower. there was the usual toiletries, loads of towels and hairdryer.

the breakfast menu was on show just outside the breakfast room on the day before and if you do not like it then the staff/owners will make you something else.. it is typically Southern fayre. I loved the breakfast on the first morning but on the second morning it was biscuits and gravy with something sweet which is something us Scots are not used too. I just asked for the previous days breakfast with was served with no problems. the breakfast was three courses and certainly set you up for the day.
the house has a lovely patio/verandah to the front and was a lovely place to have a drink and meet the other guests prior to going out for your evening meal. this was a very social area helped with the odd drink or two.. the B&B has a happy hour every night. bottled water and fizzy juice [soda] is free and you just help yourself from the fridge day or night. there is also a ice making machine.

the owners gave us a bottle of cold water each when we were leaving as we were traveling to New Orleans for several nights.

if you are lucky enough to visit Chattanooga you could not find a better and friendlier place to stay.

Room Tip: all the rooms are individual. one is nicer that the other so there, in my opinion, is not one room b...

We stayed here for our anniversary trip to Chattanooga. It was perfect! Wonderful service, beautiful mansion with interesting history, and courteous staff who were incredibly accommodating. Great location too. We can't wait to return in the future with friends!

This was our first B&B on our Southern US anniversary trip, and it was exquisite. We happened to be the only guests this night, so we got extra attention instead of being ignored. The person on duty was super nice and helpful. I took pictures of the stairway wall, because it's so unique. The whole house is unique--on the historical register, and we got a personal tour of the entire main floor area. Very, very charming. Breakfast was substantial and delicious, and we got personally served by the owner. Because of their breakfast meeting they were serving next door, she shared extra portions of what was being serving there and was extra attentive. It was a very memorable stay, and we regret that we had to move on after only one night. We also loved exploring Chattanooga! A great experience all around.

Room Tip: All their rooms are wonderful, but they actually picked out a different one for us than I had chosen...

What a lovely B&B. Many interesting features and the rooms are all different and stylish. The breakfast was very special and each day a different breakfast was freshly prepared for us. The service was second to none. Made a lovely change from the normal American chain hotels. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to feel part of old America.

Sitting on the edge of the Fort Wood historic district, this amazing B&B was truly a pleasure. The owners greeted us each morning at a great breakfast, the staff was very attentive and friendly. Just blocks from UT Chattanooga campus and the Riverfront, it was very easy to get to all the area attractions...if course we saw Rock City & Ruby Falls...these were only minutes from this location. Highly recommend this establishment as it lived up to its star/ diamond rating as one of the best in the city.

This is a beautiful home located near the University in a wonderful neighborhood but close to attractions and restaurants. The staff is wonderful. Nothing is too big or small for them to do. Loved all the common areas where folks could meet and visit. Breakfast was delicious. Looking forward to my next visit.
