The food here is good, healthy, and inexpensive, but what really set it apart for me was the really friendly owner. She greeted us at the door, explained how the cafeteria/buffet set up works, and also discussed some of the nutritional benefits of items on the salad bar. She was beyond nice and went out of her way to make sure we were enjoying our lunch.
I had veggie lasagna, garlic bread, a rice dish, lentil soup, and salad from the salad bar. All were good, with the rice being surprisingly flavorful. The salad bar has some items on it you certainly won't find at other places such as nutritional yeast and ground flax seeds. While nothing was earth shatteringly amazing, everything I ate was solidly good and clearly made with care. If I lived in Chattanooga, this would be a standard on my lunch agenda.
