Jenkins Country Style Buffet
Ranked #3 of 22 Restaurants in East Ridge
Restaurant details
Reviewed 20 September 2013

Based entirely on the other reviews posted here, my wife and I decided to try this #1 rated restaurant in East Ridge tonight. The uncertainty began immediately when the receptionist/cashier greeted us with "Are there two of ya, that'll be $X, whacha want to drink? Your waitress will show ya to your table." It went downhill from there. The atmosphere was 1st Marine Division mess hall and the food was two grades below that. Chicken was dry and over battered, the ribs were tough and the potatoes were synthetic (or tasted like it) and whipped to the consistency of sheet rock compound. Will be in town for two more nights, but this place is safe from us.

Great southern food at an even better price. Family of 5 ate for just over $40. Fried chicken, pot roast, mac and cheese and several desserts.

Me and my finance were visiting "Chat" on vacation and this was one of our dinners stops on the outskirts in the "Chat" area. What a buffet!!!!!!!!!!!!! Homestyle cooking, great salad bar, dinner bar, and dessert bar... It was packed and I can see why. They had Fish,Chicken,Ribs, Homemade Mac and Cheese Bake, -for $9.64 a person, it beat Sweet Tomatoes. A rare winner in the buffet department

I recently ate here at lunch on a weekday. It was pretty crowded which told me the food is good. I'm usually not a buffet person but went here upon recommendation of several people. I was not in the least bit disappointed. The fried chicken was awesome and the vegetables very good. I was so full that I didn't eat any dessert but they looked good. This is a local restaurant so the buffet wasn't huge but it was very high quality. Everything tasted homemade. I will be back.

Not fancy, but this restaurant is a gem in East Ridge. Visited Chickamauga Battlefield and stopped here afterwards. They had 5 entrees and all sorts of side dishes, from broccoli casserole to southern cooked beans. Fried chicken was the best I've tasted in a long while, had more than I should have. The desserts were fantastic, 5 choices and they all looked great, I had the chocolate cake and was very satisfied. If your in the vicinity of Chattanooga
