We had booked the room through the hotel about 3 weeks ahead of time. Outside of the building looked just OK. Asked for non-smoking, and the room smelled like someone sprayed lysol to cover up the smoke smell. The room was a disaster ! The vanity mirror and light fixture had old, cracked masking tape holding them to the wall ! The paint was chipped off, big time, in a lot of places in the room. The shower head and tub fixtures actually moved in our hands! We thought they would pull out of the wall.
Bedding looked shabby and worn.
When we went to the "dining area" for our free breakfast, we commented to each other how unkempt the place looked. The bushes were overgrown, the pool had no water in it, the sidewalks were cracked. As we entered the building, the laminate floor looked like an amateur had put the flooring in. It was wavy and creaky and had to room to expand. The breakfast was horrible. The eggs (most likely powdered), tasted like a mouthful of bland bee-bees. We spit it out in our napkins, dumped our plates in the garbage and left, with plans to find a Cracker Barrel somewhere on the road.
Quality Inns are not the fanciest, but this one was a hole and should be condemned.
