Description: Buca di Beppo serves authentic Italian cuisine in an eclectic, vintage setting. Our dishes are served family-style, meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Two sizes are available: BUCA SMALL feeds two or more and BUCA LARGE feeds four or more. At Buca, guests delight in our lively atmosphere, enjoy the classic tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and admire our decor, including family photos and candid shots of Italian-American icons, such as Sophia Loren and Joe DiMaggio. Our energetic atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff make Buca di Beppo the perfect place for great Italian food and fun.

This is a great place to eat. Clean (they walk you through the kitchen on the way to the table), friendly and efficient.

All items are served"family style"which means that you cannot order a single portion. For my wife and I that could be a challenge. We went with a group of six, however, and it was a lot of fun.

The food is not very Americanized in terms of salt or seasoning-this can be good or bad depending on your preferences.

Atmosphere is outstanding; unique and outlandish while still being acceptable. (some places seem to give into grunge in order to be unique... this one does not)

We highly recommend this restaraunt.

We've eaten at several different Buca restaurants (Franklin, Kansas City, Milwaukee) and we're constantly surprised at the consistent high quality of the food, despite each restaurant having its own distinct look and personality. We have also had parties catered and been very pleased.

We love going to Buca for family get togethers. The food is perfect for sharing and there are always left overs worth bringing home. We've started using their curbside carry out on occasion. Can be pricey, bu feel it's totally worth the splurge.

Oddly, I'm not really a fan of the usual "spaghetti & red sauce" type of Italian eateries. But Buca di Beppo is more eating experience rather than mere restaurant. You are led to your table through the kitchen [you can reserve the table IN the kitchen, if you wish] and wind through various room-like seating areas while listening to Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra from the ceiling speakers.

Where ever you sit the lighting is warm and subdued and the walls [and ceilings] are covered with photos, star headshots, posters and oddities associated with Italy and/or Italian Americans. Service is swift and friendly, but the place can be a bit noisy if seated near parties that include excitable young children.

I strongly advise starting with an appetizer of Mozzarella Caprese (layers of sliced tomatoes, mozzarella and basil, drizzled with olive oil) with some mozzarella garlic bread to tear apart and share over a beer or glass of wine while perusing the menu.

Be warned: the portions are BIG! A so-called small bowl - served family style, as all entrees are - can often feed two diners paired with an appetizer. Two 'small' specialty pastas, Shrimp Fra Diavolo or Spicy Chicken Rigatoni, fed three of us on a recent visit with plenty of doggy-bag leftovers for a decent meal for two the next day. But your appetites might be larger than ours!

Both the pizzas and the baked entrees looked good to us, but on each visit, we've stuck with a Specialty Pasta or two.

For drinks, it's hard to beat whatever 'signature' wine they're offering [$5.99/glass when we last visited] and there are plenty of beer choices and cocktails available. As an after dinner drink, we treated ourselves to a Cafe Corretto; Italian coffee with DiSaronno Amaretto. Excellent!

Yes Buca di Beppo IS a chain restaurant, but for the atmosphere and the food far outweigh competitors such as Olive Garden. Definitely recommended for those who enjoy Italian food and those like me who don't put it at the top of their list of favorites.

BTW, look for coupons (or sign up for email offers) such as $10.00 off a purchase of $20.00 or more, and consider requesting a booth in the Bar area which seems to have fewer kids!
