“What a find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2013

On our way to Spring Break we got this for a free Marriott night. How lucky can you get?

A kinda funky place. Good music playing instead of muzak. Really clean. Comfortable beds. Contemporary decor.

Good place......

Recently renovated and much nicer than other Marriott category 2 properties that I've stayed at. The upgrade was a nice gesture and the room was spacious and newly appointed with many thoughtful and luxurious features familiar to modern Marriott hotels. Many dinning opportunities nearby make this a convenient spot for the Nashville visitor.

I stayed here out of loyalty to the Marriott brand, and it is decent with a few flaws. Relatively new property (built in 2009) decent sized rooms and bathrooms, and there is actually a fan in the bathroom. Free internet and parking, close to lots of restaurants and the interstate. Small fitness center, indoor pool, and guest laundry facilities.

The downsides - not the cleanest room - couch is a little dirty and there is a questionable stain on the headboard that the housekeeper either missed or chose to ignore. Also, not the best place for a light sleeper (which I am not). The floors and walls are thin and you can hear every footstep and doors to other rooms opening and closing. The a/c is the noisiest I have ever encountered - it kept me up every night - I will probably not stay here again for that reason alone. I am deaf on one side and can usually roll over to drown out any noise and even that didn't help.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend in January, 2013. The rooms and hotel were very clean and in excellent condition. The beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly, it's only minutes away from the Grand Ole Opry and, it's conveniently located near the freeway, restaurants and stores. I would definitely stay there again! You should try it. You won't be disappointed :)!

Concerned by other reviews, I was a little reluctant to book a room here, but with a discount I had available, the price point was unbeatable.

If I'm nitpicking, I'll mention the things some believe to be negatives first. The direct surrounding area isn't the best but not the worst I've seen either. There was never a point in time we felt unsafe. The hillside presents a slight visibility challenge when entering/exiting the parking lot. Again, not a deal-breaker. The stay didn't come with breakfast but that works in your favor; you can go wherever & whenever to eat whatever you want. The hotel does have a nice little bistro/lounge that has food, snacks, coffee and drinks for convenience. The in-room coffee had 1 cup regular and 1 cup decaf. As with other things (lack of towels poolside or germ-wipes in gym) the hotel will gladly meet any request you may have, you just need to ask...

This is the first thing that makes this place great! All the staff were friendly, accommodating and service oriented (The guy working at the snack bar the first night was a little on the weird side but you still got the feeling he was trying to do a good job at the end of a long shift). Driving in from over 12 hours away, I called ahead to request a room away from most foot traffic, just to get a good nights rest. At check-in, Britne from guest relations mentioned this note, then went as far as blocking a room on the 4th floor at the end of the hallway. She said this would guarantee the most privacy. That promised delivered; we never heard a peep of hallway/neighbor noise. The room was remarkable; a clean, well designed home away from home with contemporary decor. It featured a fridge, wall thermostat, large bathroom vanity, large shower with shower seat, Paul Mitchell hair S&C, single serve coffee maker, HDTV, large armoire, hide-a-bed couch, free WIFI, free cat5 internet, and easy access power plugs for mobile device charging, etc.

There's major highway access less than a mile from the hotel. We could reach everywhere we wanted to be within 15 - 20 minutes. The geographic location was perfect for trips to Nashville and other neighboring cities. If you're looking for some cool things, check out a) Jenis in E. Nashville for dessert - you won't regret it b) Opryland Hotel - just a neat experience...park in mall parking lot right across the street for $0 c) Jack's BBQ on Broadway in Downtown Nashville - it's worth the wait d) Boot Country - tell them the couple from VA that bought kid boots (4 pairs of real leather boots for $100) with the cutest dog in the world sent you!

Don't want to venture out, just want to stay close? Use the pool, gym, abundant computer work stations, room service etc. While the pool itself isn't heated, the room it's located in is climate controlled; my wife and I worked out in the hotel gym both days and then immediately took a quick dip in the pool to refresh ourselves.

All in all, if I had to do this trip again, I'd do it over and over and over again.
On your way out, if pets are your thing, make sure you visit Petco off of 70S to adopt from Proverbs 1210 animal rescue. Great people, precious animals, and a very worthy cause.

I was in Goodlettsville, TN for work this past week and spent 3 nights at this gem of a hotel. The property is bright and modern and the front desk and cleaning staff were absolutely terrific. Compared to other Courtyard properties, this one is a step up. I had room 428, which was small, but quiet and well appointed, with lots of plugs for my gadgets. One very minor note was that the placement of the Tv was such that it was not possible to be on the bed and see 100% of the screen. The only major issue i had was with the bistro. The asian chicken salad was inedible, with old lettuce and terrible chicken, and that was pretty much the only low-carb, healthy option on the men. Luckily, just a half block down the hill is a little strip mall that had a fantastic Mexican restaurant (excellent shrimp fajitas, Chile Colorado, enchiladas) and a Chef's Market, so dining options were close at hand. Overall this was a great stay and I would not hesitate to go back.

There were 12 of us ladies on a weekend getaway. Upon arrival on Friday night there was a nice gentleman at the desk that was happy to help us. Our rooms were very clean. The only problem was Saturday morning, the front desk lady took all the complimentary coffee as we were still fixing cups. She allowed us to grab what was left so I guess I cant complain. Thanks Courtyard for making us feel home away from home

Room Tip: Book early for the best deals.
