We ate here on a Saturday night--a group of three. Based on the great reviews on tripadvisor it seemed like a safe bet.
We were seated promptly and service was ok throughout the meal but the food left much to be desired. The warm, fresh chips and salsa were the best part of the meal--if we had known that we would have skipped the rest. To accompany the chips we ordered some pico and guac and to be fair the bowl of Pico de Gallo pretty good but did not taste fresh--the guacamole had so much jalapeno in it that it could not be eaten--and I usually like my foods SPICY.
I ordered fajitas and expected a sizzling platter of fajitas that was so hot it shouldn't be touched. And a separate plate with the rice and beans. But instead received a almost warm platter of fried "mush" on the same plate as the refried beans and rice. (By mush, I mean that the veggies in the fajitas were so overcooked they were indistinguishable). This was served with foil wrapped flour and corn tortillas. The flour tortillas were ok but the corn tortillas were soggy--neither were hot. The puzzling part was that these were served with a bottle of liquid squirt Parkay butter?? One friend ordered enchiladas with beef tips and was not sure if she even got the right order or if they were beef tips. None of the entrees were hot--just barely warm by the time they were served. Dismal in presentation, temperature and taste. At least it did not dent the wallet-the prices were reasonable.
(Note: They seemed very busy with to go orders. There were at least 50 bags of chips with salsa stacked on the bar.)
We were there to visit and conversate so we didn't complain but we won't be back.
