“Pretty decent for a night”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2009

I stayed here for the night after the Phish concert at Thompson Boiling Arena. This hotel is in desperate need of remodeling. There's stains and bleach spots all over the carpeting in the hallway, and the bathroom door looked like it needed a paint job, or to be replaced altogether. However, the bed looked pretty new and was very comfortable, there was a microwave and refrigerator, and free wireless internet. There's nothing wrong with this hotel at all if you just need a place to sleep for a night.

My husband and I had to make an unplanned trip to Knoxville a few weeks ago. We have never stayed at a Sleep Inn and I was a little concerned but it was a great stay. The rooms are a little small but very clean and quiet. Breakfast was fine. I had a fresh made waffle every morning. The staff was wonderful. I left alot of our clothes in one of the drawers and they were mailed to me the next day. I will be staying at this Sleep Inn on my next trip to Knoxville.

It was all I wanted: clean, quiet, bland, less expensive than most, with nice personnel. The area is safe. We were close to the interstate but, indoors, never heard its noise. Room was clean, pillows felt decent & were fairly new. We had requested a nonsmokers' room, and they instantly corrected when we told them the room they'd given us was smokers'. We had been quoted a low price ($63) and, when we arrived & saw the bill was higher by $25+, they instantly corrected that, as well.

The drive to downtown Knoxville was between 5 and 10 minutes.

Breakfast was the usual sugar/white flour fest but they did have plain boiled eggs, too. And apples.

I stayed three nights on my reward plan and can't be happier. The room was clean and bright. It was quiet; the breakfast was fine (I had waffles all three days), the coffee pot was always on, and they had a computer in the lobby so I could re-check my schedule. I think anyone who has a complaint about this place is just too picky to be happy anywhere.

Wow, for $53 this place was a steal. The front desk was efficient and the room was very clean and spacious. This hotel was extremely quiet! I would definitely stay here again.

No kidding, bring your antibacterial wipes with you to this hotel IF you decide to stay here after reading this review. Ick! The hotel was listed with a local convention at a reasonable rate -- no wonder! If this hotel was $25 per night I'd think it was overpriced. There is gunk on all the light switches and walls, and even though I'm in a non-smoking room, it smells wretchedly of smoke. The entire room gives me the creeps!

This hotel is completely unacceptable -- very dirty and smelly.

Hotel was good for what it was. The breakfast was fairly terrible, though good muffins. Room was tiny, but spotlessly clean. Bed alright comfort-wise, but pillows flat, thin, and hard. Service was cordial but nothing special. Good place to stay in knoxville for gamedays.
