This is a great venue for events. The park surrounding the convention center is scenic and a nice place for walking & eating. The convention center itself is situated next to University of TN & downtown so it's very convenient.

There wasn't much to see, but it is a nice place to walk when the weather is good. It is a great way to get to the Art Museum, though.

We visited the park because people can run through the fountain. It was very hot today and my kids loved running through it. They were soaked. It was free to do, had a playground nearby and was by other free places such as the Sunsphere and Museum of Art. We parked a bit away in a free lot. Everything was in walking range.

Aside from some lovely fountains and shade, there's nothing particularly unique about the Park. Still, if you want a spot to contemplate water features and you're walking from downtown to the University, this Park offers a nice respite.
