Stopped here for a night and used Marriott points to pay for the stay. Although loyal to Marriott, I had never stayed at a Towne Place Suites. TPS is the Marriot version of Microtel or Extended Stay. Anyway this property was fine. The pool was open until 10 which was relaxing after a day of driving with a toddler. Their is a Kroger nearby so we took full advantage of the in suite kitchenette.

My room was incredible! Immaculately clean and air conditioning was set to perfect temp upon arrival! Young lady at the front desk was very helpful!! You definitely get what you pay for here folks!!

Room Tip: Try and book around University of TN sporting events- thats when rates are through the roof!

Overall a good place to stay. My room appeared to have been recently renovated. Everything seemed new and fresh. The breakfast offered wasn't very substantial but that wasn't an issue for me. My only real complaint was the weak coffee. I will definitely stay there again.

As a Marriot hotel, I expected better quality service than I received. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). We arrived at around 6:30pm-- there were insufficient pillows or blankets for the family. We also found that the kitchenette did not come with a knife--even the cheap blunt ones that you expect in rental kitchens. The reason we booked this place was so while the girls swam after a long day in the car, I could get a quick pasta and salad dinner ready and --then off to bed. Well, there wasn't even a large enough pot to boil pasta water. The hotel said yes, there was supposed to be one, but,no, they couldn't find one for me. Ditton about the knife. Sigh.

By the way, the breakfast here is very limited, some packaged Saralee muffins, apples and cereal.
There must be a better value in hotels somewhere!

Room Tip: Avoid the ground floor

Thank you for providing this valuable feedback. We appreciate the opportunity to improve our product and service in the rare instances we do not meet our guests needs.

I apologize for the lack of supplies in the kitchen. This is definitely not our norm and was an oversight during the inspection process. We have since corrected the shortages. Regarding the bedding/towels...all of our studio rooms come stocked for three guests. We are happy to provide additional linens and terry as needed/requested.

I hope you will give us another opportunity to meet your travels needs, should you find you are traveling to or through Knoxville. Again, thank you for your comments.

Sincerely,

David Johnston

This was a typical Marriott property. Nice clean room, bright colors, comfortable bedding, work space for the business traveler. This brand is designed for the extended traveler but a step down from the Residence Inn across the parking lot. The price was ok, but then the company got the tab. This should be a 4 dot place except the downside of this hotel is the micro lobby and breakfast. The breakfast was terrible. A hard apple, box of mini-wheats and a snack bar does not make a breakfast for someone who is staying with you for more than a one night stand. It is called a "grab and go". Marriott should be a shame of this. It would have been better to allow guests to walk over to the Residence Inn for a good morning meal. By the way... the room was not ready at the stated time when I arrived. Had to nap in the car for an hour waiting on the room.

Room Tip: Top level room has less noise but longer elevator wait

I really enjoy this hotel. It is a bit smaller then a Residence Inn but the rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is nice. This hotel is just a few minutes drive from downtown (15 to 20 minutes) and about 5 minutes from the Turkey Creek Shopping Center. I found the staff here to be very helpful and informative.
