Description: We believe less processed food tastes better. Not only does it taste better, it's much healthier too. You'll notice this difference in our house made dressings and handcrafted pizzas, as well as in our colorful salads and sandwiches. Fresh produce from East Tennessee farmers like Hines Valley Farm, Mountain Meadows Farm and Colvin Family Farm is featured in our daily specials. Well known for our vegan and vegetarian dishes, our menu has plenty for the carnivore. All of our proteins are nitrate/nitrite free, all natural and antibiotic free. Our house made lamb sausage is cooked in small batches to ensure freshness. Our sister bakery, Flour Head Bakery, prepares all of the Tomato Head's desserts and breads (including gluten free!) Each morning. By using unbleached and unbromated King Arthur Flour, we create healthier and better tasting pizza dough and sandwich breads. We also can easily accommodate your dietary needs. Whether it's a nut allergy, a preference for vegan fare or a gluten sensitivity, our staff will craft a dish to suit your tastes.

“Good sourced food cooked with care!!”

So happy to see people who care about the source of food in Knoxville! T'head offers local grown, compassionate drug free foods along with creative bakery options. Service wasn't quite up to
Par with food but it was a busy Saturday brunch so we'll give em a bit of slack - grits, biscuits, salads and tofu sandwich were all A+; go on an off hour to avoid the waits and noise levels.

“May Return”

The food was good for the area. I ordered the O boy sandwich, which was fair. The decor was a modern style, bright and airy.

“Very good pizza”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014 via mobile

Went today with a family group of 5. Two got salads and three got pizzas. The lamb sausage pizza was terrific. The goat cheese pizza pretty good too. The people who got the southwest salads also really like them. The pizzas are a good size for lunch but you might want more for dinner.

They have a good beer menu but it seems they are always out of something.

Other trips I have gotten the Jose Jose burrito and it's great. Also their hummus is out of this world good. If you go for the brunch, try the huevos rancheros!

“Not just a restaurant, an experience.”

We have eaten here many times. We always go to the one on Market Square. The restaurant has been enlarged and looks wonderful. Food is fresh and delicious.

“Awesome pizza!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014 via mobile

At first i was unsure of this heathy/vegan place, but it was great. Got a pizza with sundried tomatoes, cheese, pepperoni, portobello mushrooms, and Pesto sauce. Let me tell you, it was delicious! The pizza was thin crusted and was presented beautifully. Service was good and the waitress was nice. The decor in the restaurant is very bland, I guess it is trying to be "urban" or "new age" style.
