We had lots of family and friends staying for a wedding in every type of room - all exceptionally clean and perfectly serviced every day, every amenity in kitchen, big TVs with a variety of programming and DVD player. Nice little pool with sitting areas and landscaping around, tucked in the middle of the property away from traffic noise. Nice touches: computer room with printers, work-out room, walking/jogging trail in back, 24 hour comfort shop in lobby. Breakfast buffet was awesome - lots of selections, a little variety in the menu each morning, very clean, kitchen staff constantly cleaning and re-stocking. Would go back anytime! P.S. Pets allowed and made comfortable, too.

I really researched Tripadvisor for my last trip to Knoxville. Stayed at the Baymont Knoxville before and hated it. Homewood Suites was great. Read the reviews that said to ask for a room on the "pool side" rather than the "interstate side" due to the noise issues. Somebody across the hall had a dog that barked when I went into my room, never heard it once the door was closed, otherwise so VERY quiet on the pool side. It was super-ultra-clean! Stayed 4 days. Two burner electric stove, microwave oven, full size fridge, silverware, glassware and place settings for 4 people, two person kitchen table, desk, wired LAN and wi-fi, king bed suite, paper in the a.m., incredible buffet breakfast (way better than anywhere else), dinner M-F nights. The location is INCREDIBLE! Walking distance to shopping and lots of great restaurants of varying price ranges, shares an enormous parking lot with a mall, but within driving distance to everywhere else. Easy to find off of I-40. Loved it. Didn't use the pool, not open yet. The only thing that I would have liked would have been room service to send up a pot of their great coffee from the dining area. (Coffee pot is provided but I liked their coffee in the lounge better). No complaints. Staying there again next time I go to Knoxville.

This hotel was terrific. We stayed there for two nights on a family trip and were very happy. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel has all of the amenities that you would want. We agreed with the other positive reviews on this site.

In addition, here are two things that might not have been in the other reviews: first, for the fitness buff, there is a 2-mile paved walking/jogging trail that runs behind the hotel and along the Turkey Creek shopping complex. Like the hotel, it does have highway noise because of its location; however, portions of the trail run through a little wetlands preserve that is very nice. Also, hotel guests get free passes to the Rush fitness center down the street, a very impressive gym with lap pool, spin room, and a huge selection of state-of-the-art fitness equipment.

The second nice surprise about this hotel was the proximity to so many great stores, restaurants, bars, etc. in the huge Turkey Creek shopping complex. Look it up online for a full list, but we were able to go out for ice cream, go to a bookstore, buy organic groceries, have a steak dinner out, go to a brew pub and hear a live band, buy supplies at Walmart, get Starbucks coffee, and shop for outdoor gear, all within a few blocks of the hotel.

Overall, a terrific hotel in a convenient location. Highly recommended.

Extremely friendly staff. They made our family feel very welcome. Every request was met with a smile. Many times there were 3 people at the front desk. Large rooms that were very clean. Outside area - including pool - very clean. The first night we did have a room on the "Hwy side" - Could NOT sleep at all. There was so much hwy noise - the window might as well have been open. However, upon complaint - we were moved the next morning without hesistation. No noise! A fabulous room with no noise. Hotel pictures are exactly what we experienced.

Most important: we were told they were sold out the first night - there was no noise from the other guests. No doors slamming, no guests running, talking through the halls - very quite...

Advise: unless you are used to going to sleep next to a highway, simply ask for a room that is not on the "hwy side" -

Oh, typical shopping across the street, Old Navy, Target, Starbucks, etc... We will stay there AGAIN!

  • Liked — the staff was always available. there was not the typical guest noise...very quiet
  • Disliked — the FREEWAY/HWY Noise! it was so loud I thought the window was open. Couldn't sleep!

King Suite, full kitchen. Very comfortable room. Comp breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles and the usual cold stuff) AND dinner (single entre, but all were pretty good) in the lobby. DVD player on one TV (there were two).

LOTS of choices for food and entertainment nearby ... as in walking distance.

Clean room, everything worked, large bathroom. Some noise from the highway, but actually that little bit of a drone helps me go to sleep. (I'll often run a fan at home just for the noise).

For a business traveler, with the comp meals and other amenities, this will have to rate as one of my top stays in the last 10 years. It was very refreshing to not have to think about where to go for dinner ... I just ate right there.

  • Liked — Simplicity of comp Breakfast & Dinner in-house
  • Disliked — Too new to be on in my GPS database!

This is one of those places I don't want to review, because I (selfishly) am afraid of creating competition. But since I am usually on too tight a budget to stay here, it won't create that much of an issue.

We got a great deal on an internet special and stayed at the Homewood Suites over Christmas holidays. It was pretty quiet, probably since business travelers weren't out.

Our room was quite a long walk from the lobby When we walked in, I just said "Wow." The dark wood furniture and practically new-looking furnishings blew me away. The suites are more like efficiency apartments than hotel rooms, warm and inviting. They surround a little courtyard and have nice large windows to let the light in (they open and are screened). The suite included a full fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker and a dishwasher. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

I was pleasantly surprised that dinner was provided downstairs (except for Christmas night); the meal was not fancy (eggplant parmagiana, salad, bread) but was quite tasty. The exercise room had a couple of treadmills, a bike, an elliptical machine and some dumbbells. The maids and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

We travel to Knoxville frequently, have stayed all over (including the Hilton and Marriott downtown), and this is my favorite hotel.

This is the second time I have stayed at a Homewood Suites. I have found both times to be very enjoyable. The room was clean and was just the size I expected from the description. The bed was very comfortable. Having a kitchen is always a bonus when traveling.

The Breakfast Buffet was good. They had quite a selection eggs, waffles, oatmeal as well as fruits and breads.

I will definately continue to book with the Homewood Suites.
