Best value in Knoxville. Clean and comfortable. No frills, but definitely a nice room and bed.

While we were able to get this hotel for less than $60 total, it was a very poor experience. The room and bathroom were remodeled but the bathroom and floor were very dirty. The largest problem was the smell of the room. The room smelled stale and smoky. The Front Desk person was a smoker and said she thought the room smelled fine. Not a reliable source and not very customer friendly.

The location of the hotel is nice though but we have stayed at other hotels in that area with better results.

The wireless internet was unsecured.

Very basic no frills hotel. But that was what we were looking for at a good price. It was clean. Office staff friendly. We requested & received a microwave & mini fridge. The "free" wi-fi was almost non-existent. Could only get logged on 2 times in 4 days. Terrible internet connection! Staff was not very flexible in negotiating a later check out on a Sunday afternoon. Safe area of town. Convenient to shopping & food. "Might" stay here again but may go with other hotels in the area that we know are more flexible with later check out. We needed a later check out time due to my daughter swimming at UT-K in a big swim meet.

2 friends and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night before heading down to Manchester, TN for Bonnaroo. We got to the hotel and the reception was very friendly helping me with questions about the area and gave us all the extra towels we needed. We got into the room, it was very clean, and had a mini fridge which was nice. It was your basic room, 2 double beds a bathroom, tv, etc. The beds were comfortable and the room was nice. We were really close to a walmart, and right next door was a fairly decent BBQ restaurant that had some pretty darn good food. It was very convenient and close to the highway and perfectly suited to our needs for the night.

This is a basic place to sleep. Positive: room was clean and smelled nice, linen was washed and fresh, paint scheme was pleasing, lighting was versatile, close to various eating establishments. You get an ice bucket, trash container, hot water for a shower, and a bed(s). This is one of the Red Roof Inns which has been remodeled to contemporary decor. Negative: the outside is clearly dated and somewhat unkept, the TV remote (in separate rooms on different nights) occasionally worked, minute traces of mildew in the shower caulking, the beds were fairly comfortable, but inexpensive, the pillows left much to be desired, and there are no personal amenities (blow-dryer, refrig., microwave, etc. The one downside is the contractor crews that inundated the property. We were told that they were there to fix roofs damaged during the recent tornado activity, which is good, I guess. But, between trucks and trailers, and various unscrupulous (?) looking fellows (stereotyping here), it was not what we hoped, even for a base hotel. This type of atmosphere seems to be the norm for Red Roof Inns (we were told). In summary, the price is more than competitive, room was acceptable, but the atmosphere was not. It would be a toss up to determine if we would stay here again given the surroundings and activity.

Room Tip: Because traveling contractors fill thses places te

if you are a hotel snob you wouldn't be looking at Red Roof reviews, right? We stayed at this motel for 4 nights. It was a great value for the price. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The exalted king (or some such name) included a mini fridge and microwave for just a few dollars more per night. The location is about 10 mins from the university/downtown area in a sea of shopping centers. Many eating places around.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Only complaint we had was that the wireless internet (free) was at times slow and unreliable. When I told the clerk at checkout she apologized and said she'd call the provider to check the problem. Would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: The special king room has minifridge and microwave
