What an amazing Hotel. If you are in Knoxville, you're trip is not complete without a stay at The Oliver. Firstly, the Front Desk Staff are incredible, going beyond the call of duty to meet our every need.
My party took 3 rooms and each one was spectacular! Incredible showers & duvets.
Do not miss this if you're in Knoxville.

This small Hotel in downtown Knoxville is absolutely charming. This intimate hotel located in downtown in walking distance of shopping and dinning. Service was great I would absolutely stay again. If you like boutique hotels you will LOVE the Oliver!

Came with my boyfriend while passing through town on a roadtrip. We stayed on a Sunday night, so this could have affected the experience, but the area seemed a bit desolate, and we felt like we were the only people staying at the hotel (which depending on your taste, could be a good thing, we found it a little creepy). I agree with a lot of the other reviews, that there were some missing pieces to what could be a fabulous boutique experience. My biggest complaints were around the security of the room. The door seems like it's an original and is very flimsy with only one interior lock- no deadbolt. Then, outside the bedroom window was another roof with a ladder on it which someone was walking on when we woke up. There was also no phone in the bedroom area which seemed odd.
Now on to the pros: We got a king upgrade for posting on Facebook about our reservation which was nice. The room itself, besides some minor aesthetic flaws (unfinished nail holes, etc) is very nice. The bed was comfortable and loved the TV. The bathroom was my favorite. There is also a cute coffee shop close by which we grabbed coffee from in the AM.
Awesome potential, but not quite there. Seems like they remodeled on a budget and skimped where they could.

We really enjoyed staying at The Oliver Hotel - it was a refreshingly different non- chain feel. I enjoyed the modern amenities and we were close to everything Knoxville. They made me feel like we were the only people staying there- very personal.

My wife and I visited this hotel as locals, soon after it opened, on our anniversary. Would not recommend any other hotel in Knoxville before this one. Well done, perfect location, great staff. Just what Knoxville needed downtown. Great having this hotel to promote to family and friends when they come to town for visits.

Room Tip: Rooms with windows to Market Square are preferable.

We stayed at the Oliver for 5 days and found it to be charming. The place has a wonderful local vibe with an international sense of class and appeal. The beds are amazing and the new bar is going to be awesome!

Situated in the heart of Knoxville just steps away from the hustle and bustle of Market Square, The Oliver Hotel is an original expression of the city. In 2011, the property was renovated into what is now Knoxville's best boutique hotel with a style that plays tribute to the buildings history, while offering guests rooms with charm, sophistication, and modern amenities.
